    Gameplay

    • Zipline improvements. Added the ability to change direction via the player's movement input button. They just have to move in the direction they want while moving down the zip line, no jumping required.     • We updated the tournament system significantly to support upcoming features. We will be running a series of small-scale test events as we test these updates with more players. We will run several waves of testing until we are sure of the new features. At that point, we will be running regular tournaments again for all players.
    • For now, old tournaments will be removed from the Events tab on Switch and mobile devices. The data for those tournaments has been saved and will return to those platforms in a future release.
    • Players will be automatically eliminated from the game after 60 seconds as spectators after being eliminated.

    Sound

    • Fixed shield damage sound being heard when shooting or taking hits from teammates.
    • The music of the gliders with music can now be heard in the room preview.
    • X-4 Storm Hunter volume decreased.
    • We lowered the volume on the boombox.
    • Added a unique bounce sound for Dynamite.

    Error correction

    • Fixed music clipping on Switch and mobile platforms.
    • Fixed an incorrect sound loop from the Quad Shredder enhancer on mobile and Switch.

    • Added a new "Player Flight" option to allow players to fly during games or when the phone is not available.
    • Added a new "Jump Exhaustion" option to enable or disable jump height penalties that would normally apply to fast successive jumps.

    • When traps are equipped from the Creative inventory, the new trap will be selected on your Quick Bar.

    Error correction

    • Fixed players being unable to load Creative due to a network error. The first load may take additional time while the server fixes the loading issues with the player's island.
    • Fixed vehicles dealing damage to structures when the world was indestructible or when players did not have permission to edit.
    • Fixed building animations getting stuck when moving with the phone in full animation.
    • Fixed a bug that caused life bars to display more often than expected when a player was building walls.
    • Fixed a bug that caused squares to appear red during matches.
    • Fixed a bug that caused multiple camera blurs to occur at the beginning and end of the game.

    Creative tools and phone

    • Turbo build added to Creative mode. They can now hold down the "Place" button to add building pieces and objects without interruption while moving and aiming. They have to enable "Turbo Build" in the game settings to use this feature.
    • Added Turbo Elimination. Now holding down the "Delete" button will destroy building pieces and objects without interruption. Added a new "Turbo Kill in Creative" option to the game settings. This is enabled by default.
    • We added a new effect when using Grid Snap to help visualize placement.

    Error correction

    • Fixed the phone being able to edit or delete objects even without having island edit permission.
    • Fixed a bug that could cause other walls to disappear when copying a wall using the phone.

    Devices

    • Added random spawn options in the item spawn generator: "Random" allows items from the spawn list to spawn in random order. "No repeats" makes objects appear in random order and will not repeat any objects until everything in the list has appeared once. This is only distinguished from "Random" if the "Object reappearance" option is enabled.
    • Renamed the device "gunner" to "sentry".
    • We added new options to the Sentinel. Added health and shield options. We added respawn options. Added attack range and precision options. We added targeting style, line of sight, and proximity options. Added an adaptive aiming option to determine if the sentry's aim improves over time or not. Added a visualization to attack range when players are on the sentry plate.
    • New device elimination zone. Allows the player to place an adjustable zone that will eliminate players who come into contact with it during the game.
    • The item generator now includes additional ammo for spawned weapons.

    Error correction

    • Fixed an issue where traps were not being destroyed or triggered correctly.

    • Increased XP, Gold, and Mindless Christmas Ticket rewards, especially in later waves, to better incentivize longer survival times.
    • Changed key rewards and schematics have been replaced by buff buff and buff swap in the higher difficulty areas of Mindless Christmas.
    • Changed the Storm Shield Defense missions that unlock Mindless Christmas zones, so players should now see zones of a more appropriate level.
    • Mission map adjustments. Quests are no longer locked after old side quests. They are now unlocked by missions in the main campaign. Story-specific key missions can no longer have mission alerts.

    • Fixed an anomaly bug that prevented players joining a game in progress from collecting Shards.
    • Fixed a bug in the Deliver the Bomb mission to allow players to build on top of the launcher.

    • Fixed a bug where the Rift Stabilize gadget would not display the correct laser hit visual effect when it was destroyed.

    User interface

    • Players will see which items can be reset by activating the Manage Schematic and Manage Heroes option on the bottom bar of the screens.

    • In Mindless Christmas, we fixed the text formatting of the HUD wavelength targets.
    • Players should no longer get stuck on the end screen when exiting a Storm Shield Defense mission mid-game.

    Performance

    • Updated the Rocket Launcher and Grenade Launcher VFX to be more eye-catching.
    • Updated the effects of Mindless kills to be more eye-catching, and fixed a few bugs that were preventing the effects from displaying correctly.
    • Improved the appearance of fog on Xbox One.

    Heroes

    • The Ice King will be available in the Event Store.
    • The Ice Queen will be available as a reward from the Week 3 Mindless Christmas Challenge mission.
    • Any hero who converted damage resistance buffs to armor buffs in the v7.10 update is eligible for an item reset. If they choose to reset a hero, he will return to level 1 and all XP and evolution materials invested in him will be refunded. Note that this reset option will be lost if new resources are invested in the hero or if the hero is assigned to the collection book.

    Error correction

    • The Outsider's Flame Shard ability will fall at his feet when it has been destroyed.

    • The Candy Corn LMG now has comments when firing.
    • Fixed an issue where melee weapons would sometimes not deal damage on the first few attacks after equipping them.
    • Fixed a bug where melee weapons would not deal damage when deployed and using their strong attack.

    Gameplay

    • Control sensitivity settings when building, sighting, and aiming separately are now shared between Save the World and Battle Royale.

    Error correction

    • Fixed a bug that could cause Husks to not be visible while in Observer Mode in Frostnite.
    • Fixed a rare bug that caused the player to lose control of the character if the character respawned when switching viewers in Mindless Christmas.
    • Fixed areas that would appear blocked when another player joined the party while on the Map tab.
    • We have added a spinner to the boxes in the area to indicate that the player is receiving or processing the power ranking of the newly joined party members.
    • Fixed a bug that caused a semi-transparent red trap placement preview mesh to be displayed on the end of the mission screen if the player finished Mindless Christmas while in construction mode.

    Enemies

    • Removed the Christmas skins for Mindless, Bomber, Hefty Propane Tank, and Mindlessness.

    Error correction

    • Made some improvements to the shell interactions with the Riot Brawl's shield: Remote explosives should now stick to the Riot Brawl's shield. Impulse Grenades will now explode immediately on impact with the Riot Brawl's shield. Crossbow arrows should now adhere to the Riot Brawl's shield.
    • Fixed the Storm King's horns not showing broken, as they should, when a player joined a game late.
    • Fixed the Storm King's horns from colliding after breaking.
    • Copycats will no longer grant metal when hit with a pickaxe or Anti-Material Charge.

    Art and animation

    • Ray and Lars removed the Christmas decorations from the environment and the base.


    Error correction

    • Fixed a bug that caused some car destruction visuals to not rotate properly, causing the car to jump to another location when destroyed.

    Sound

    • Added soccer ball sounds in Mindless Christmas.
    • Added a harvest sound to the shield.
    • Grenade explosion sounds updated.
    • Added sounds when getting on and off the hovercraft.

    Error correction

    • Fixed an issue where voices were not playing correctly on some Canny Valley exploration missions.
    • Fixed music being muted on the Results screen when a Storm Shield Defense mission was not completed or failed.
    • Fixed an issue where the music on the defeat screen would not play properly.
    • Fixed a bug that caused the end of day score display to get stuck.
    • Fixed a bug where the sound of the fire hydrant would not stop when destroyed.
    • We add sound to the help menu.
    • Fixed the sound when equipping the Vacuum Tube Rifle.
    • Fixed an issue where scouting music would play when looking away from Lars' truck.
