    Builders Club

This feature has been discontinued in favor of Roblox Premium.
    Builders Club

El Buders Club (BC) was a premium membership that gave users additional privileges that normal users did not have, such as daily Robux or the ability to make shirts and / or pants. It was officially replaced by Premium since September 2019.

There were three types of Builders Club memberships that could be earned: Builders Club Classic, Turbo Builders Club, and Outrageous Builders Club. If a user with Builders Club bought Robux, they were looking for a Robux bonus.

Users could purchase Builders Club memberships that were renewed annually or monthly. Previously, players were able to have a Builders Club membership that lasted 6 months or a lifetime (100 years), but this was removed on August 4, 2015.

    Former Builders Club

Former Builders Club is an unofficial membership reserved for players who previously purchased any type of Builders Club membership. Members who bought BC, TBC or OBC and their membership expired have the same characteristics as an NBC (Not Builders Club), but can still keep the things they got with the membership, and still remain in whatever group they are in, even if it exceeds the limit of 5 groups (but they will not be able to join more groups, unless they are in 4 groups or they buy the membership again).

Welcome To The Club Badge (Insignia)

El Welcome To The Club Badge is a badge that can be obtained by purchasing any type of Builders Club membership. It was released on October 14, 2014 along with the official Model Maker badge. This badge could also be obtained if a player's Builders Club membership expired before the badge was released. This badge remains even if your Builders Club membership has expired.

    Críticas

There have been multiple discussions within the community that debated the features that a premium member has versus a free member. Some features have drawn criticism within the Roblox community, such as community members who believe that users who had purchased a Roblox membership Builders Club they were less likely to be moderate on Roblox, although these reports cannot be theoretically proven. It has also received criticism due to the assumption that ODers buy memberships to show their "wealth."

In January 2019, Roblox unexpectedly changed the icons from BC and OBC to TBC, and most users assumed that their membership (either BC or OBC), out of nowhere, changed to Turbo Builders Club. This issue has outraged many users because their previous membership was changed to TBC. Even though users believed that their membership changed to TBC, their previous membership was still highlighted, displayed on the "Upgrade to Roblox Builders Club" page, and the features still worked for the previous membership. This issue has since been resolved.

    Curiosities

    • On April 12, 2007, the first-place winning team in the Ultimate Paintball Paintball Tournament won the Builders Club and Robux for free.
    • The TBC and OBC were created later in 2009. The OBC also had its own unique theme page before a change that brought it to the Builders Club home page.
    • The 6-month and lifetime (100 years) plans existed alongside the monthly and yearly plans, before being phased out on August 4, 2015. Users who purchased a lifetime plan before it was phased out could keep their membership "permanent".
      • Lifetime memberships were transferred to their respective Premium counterparts following the Premium announcement.
    • On January 21, 2019, an error occurred where the membership of all users with membership was changed to TBC. Some even received the TBC Hard Hat. This was a visual glitch and the benefits did not change.
    • When Roblox released their Premium Features API, there were 2 final points related to canceling a Builders Club membership and refunding. If a GET request were sent to this endpoint, it would respond with the amount of Robux a user would receive. If a POST request was submitted, the membership would be canceled and refunded.
    • According to Roblox staff, Builders Club was renamed Premium because many new Roblox users thought BC was needed to build things in Roblox Studio.
