In these versions, Socrates does not have the title to examine fossils, so he will not be able to handle that task. He will ask you if you have received a letter from the D'Allí Museum, an invitation to participate in the free fossil identification program. If you answer not yet, it will arrive the next day and from then on you will be able to send them your fossils attached to a letter (as a Gift) so that they can tell you what fossil it is and they will return it identified.
Therefore, the first time you find a Fossil in Animal Forest, Animal Forest +, Animal Crossing: Population: on the rise! and Animal Forest e +, you will need two days to know what fossil it is: 1 day to receive the letter, and another to receive a response, assuming that the same day, after receiving it, you have already sent a letter asking to identify the fossil.
