The Account Merge feature will be coming to an end on May 6, 2019. Be sure to submit a merge request prior to that date for any eligible accounts.

Note: Any "In Progress" Account Merge requests will be completed as long as they're submitted prior to May 6 https://t.co/PkxLcl5WnR

Anyone intending to merge two or more accounts of the famous title together is therefore urged to do so soon, under penalty of the possibility of not being able to do it again in the future. Fortunately Epic Games has stated that it will complete any requests prior to May 6th, thus reassuring the users of the last few hours.

Unfortunately, we are not given the reasons behind this choice, i.e. whether they were the result of a simple decision within Epic Games or if, on the other hand, this potential has been used by some user in a way that is not exactly legal. We remind you, in fact, that the sale of accounts is strictly prohibited in the title of Epic Games and has already caused several bans for players caught in the act.

There does not seem to be any actual links with the beginning of the ninth season, set only two days later, ie May 8th. The fact that the two events are so close is in fact most likely just a coincidence.

What do you think of this decision? Have you already taken advantage of this possibility?

If you want to start your Fortnite adventure this is the package for you.
