Fortnite players complain about a skin that gives the wearer an advantage (updated)

      UPDATE 10 / 01 / 2021:

In one of the threads where the problem with the Fortnite superhero skin had been exposed, Epic Games has confirmed that it is already investigating the matter and has thanked all those who have brought the problem to light with a brief "We are looking at it Thank you all for raising it. " Hopefully, sooner or later Epic will release some kind of hotfix or small patch to remedy it. You have done it before with skins or gestures that caused similar problems.

      ORIGINAL NEWS

Fortnite has always prided itself on being an example of how to monetize a free to play game. Although micropayments are constant to buy skins or turkeys with which to unlock other items, they are all cosmetic. That is, that a player who pays for his battle pass every month will have no more advantage than someone who has never checked out.

However, one of the last skins, released during last season 4, it's causing quite a bit of controversy, and many fans are asking Epic Games to do something about it. It's about the customizable superhero skin, which allows us to choose different combinations of colors and materials. One of these combinations allows you to a black suit from head to toe.

It cannot be "nerfed" as such, because like all skins it does not have any type of attribute. However, being completely black, the most astute players are using it to camouflage themselves, and at certain points makes the player practically invisible.

Several users have complained in forums about this skin. This user on reddit shows how, in the right place, it is impossible to distinguish the character from the background.

So do you guys think the black superhero skins need a nerf? from r/FortNiteBR

In this other example we see how it is camouflaged in with the shadows activated. On PC it is possible to disable the shadows to have better visibility, but not on consoles.

A year ago, Epic Games already modified a skin for the same reason: the plastic soldier, completely green, camouflaged too well in the grass.

"These are for cosmetics only and grant no competitive advantage" from r/FortNiteBR

What do you think? Do you think that Epic Games should modify the skin to offer an unfair advantage? The truth is that discovering that the completely black skin allows you to go unnoticed deserves some points for ingenuity ... although spending the game from a corner, of course.
