    COMPATIBILITY FOR LARGE-SCALE PAIRING

The option to create games with up to 50 players has passed the beta phase and is now available to all creators! Attract more players to your gaming experience with more matchmaking options. It doesn't matter if you prefer to create practice, combat or varied modes, the more players the better! Read the gameplay section below for more details.

    CENTRAL ISLANDS V2

We are particularly interested in featured plants that take advantage of our new hub islands: V2 flat grid hub and V2 floating island hub. These two new plants include simpler and clearer areas, perfect for navigation, with a single construction guide for heights and roads to portal areas.

Since the build guide takes up some of the space in Creative mode, we've increased the build volume on these islands to 71x71 (up from 67x67 previously). We can't wait to see your new welcome centerpiece creations!

Notice: We will add an additional welcome hub update in the future to align the featured portals settings, but first we want to see how the new V2 hub creations work.

    WELCOME CENTRAL UPDATES

Among other changes, we've removed two Player Portals and two Event Portals from the Welcome Hub. The reason is that we needed space to include the new XL islands and the space thermometer, which goes into beta in this update. Take a look at the beta testing section for more information.

    GAME FEATURES

    • The initial phase of support for large-scale matchmaking has passed the beta phase and is now available to all players. We ask you to take a look at the notes section before starting to use this functionality.
    • New values have been added to the Maximum Players option in the My Island game settings: 20, 24, 30, 32, 40, 48 and 50.
      • IMPORTANT NOTICES:
        • This is the first phase of the compatibility initiative for large-scale matchmaking, so it has several errors in the interaction of the maximum player count with which devices.
        • Some devices will not function properly when you set Any / All as the selected value in the team options.
        • Others will fail to apply the settings to all players in games with 16 or more players.
        • We recommend that you test the game with the maximum player count and have workarounds in case the devices do not work as they should.
        • We are currently focused on updating all devices to facilitate maximum player counts and allow devices with team-related options that can support up to 50 teams.
    • A new option has been added to the My Island game settings:
      • Peer Privacy: Public, Private (Default: Public).
      • When an island is published with the option "Private", it immediately restricts the interaction of other users with the island.
        • The island cannot be accessed by portals unless owned by its creator (for example: the creator can place island-facing portals on his own personal hubs or islands, but no one else).
        • The island cannot be accessed from the code entry menu.
        • The island will not appear on recently visited islands or favorites.
        • The island will not appear in the welcome center and will not be accessible through the portals or from the welcome center.
      • IMPORTANT: this setting is set PERMANENTly when you first publish the island.
        • You can mirror an island that has its privacy permissions set, and freely change the setting on the mirror island until it is published for the first time.

        • When the generator receives a signal on the selected channel, it will teleport the target player to the vehicle.
          • If the vehicle has no driver assigned yet, the target player will be set as such.
          • If the target player is already in a vehicle, they will be removed from the old vehicle and moved to the new one.
          • If the target vehicle already has a driver from a different team, the current driver will be shot out of the vehicle and the target player will become the driver.

    • Known Generator Issues
      • We've temporarily disabled the ability to latch onto other vehicles in the pool while we fix some issues.
      • Generators send signals to the destruction and spawn channels of the vehicles early in the game. This will be corrected in a future update.
      • Destroying a vehicle with Destroy Vehicle on Receiving from causes the vehicle to disappear instead of exploding.
      • When the vehicle is destroyed, transmit waiting for the destroyed vehicle to disappear completely before activating, instead of activating as soon as the vehicle explodes. This will be corrected in a future update.
      • Every now and then, an error appears in the bag that causes it to move too slowly.
      • We have temporarily disabled generators for older vehicles, such as the CTT, quad bike, shopping cart, or cannon, until their associated vehicles are updated and working with the new vehicle physics system.
    • We've added the racing checkpoint device
      • This device allows you to create races by placing a series of control points on the map.
      • Each checkpoint contains a sequence number that determines in what order the players have to activate them.
      • If the control points are placed from the quick access bar, they will increment the sequence number automatically to facilitate the task of numbering them in order. Once placed, the sequence numbers can be changed if desired.
      • There is the possibility that several control points have the same sequence number, in which case it will count if any of them is activated to allow the player to advance.
      • The checkpoint with the lowest sequence number will automatically become the starting point of the race, and the highest sequence number will make up the finish line. Control points can be modified dynamically, since sequence numbers can be changed manually.
      • This device has the following options:
      • Checkpoint number: Set as highest number, 1-150 (default: next highest number).
        • If Set As Highest Number is selected, once the screen options are closed, the auto point will automatically be set to the next highest number in the sequence, as if it had just been placed.
      • Allow Players to Overcome Without Being Mounted: Yes, No (Default: Yes).
        • Determines if players can activate the checkpoint on foot or if they must be mounted in a vehicle.
      • Allowed Vehicles: All, None, Ground Vehicles, Air Vehicles (Default: All).
        • Determine what types of vehicles can be used to activate the checkpoint.
      • Idle Checkpoint Color: Team Ratio, Team Color, White, Sky Blue, Orange Red, Gold, Apple Green, Fuchsia, Orange, Aqua, Beige, Purple, Neon Green, Cerulean, Silver, Turquoise, Pink, Green (default: White).
        • Determines the color of control points other than the current target and not yet activated. Team relationship sets the color of the checkpoints that belong to the opposing teams in red; checkpoints belonging to neutral teams in green, and those belonging to allied teams in blue.
      • Current control point color: (same as above).
        • Determines the color of the control points that make up the current target.
      • Checkpoint color completed: (same as above).
        • Determines the color of control points that have already been activated.
      • Visible before the start of the race: No, If it starts, Yes (Default: If it starts).
        • Determine if players can see the checkpoints before the race begins. If it starts it means that the checkpoint will only be seen if it is the first of the race.
      • Checkpoint Visible on Exceed: No, Yes (Default: No).
        • Determines if the player can see an activated checkpoint.
      • Trigger Team: Anyone, 1-16 (Default: Anyone).
        • Determine which team can trigger the checkpoint.
      • Class identifier: None, 1-16 (default: None).
        • Determine which class can trigger the checkpoint.
      • Play Sound: Yes, No (Default: Yes).
        • Determines whether the control point will play a sound when activated.
      • Enable When Receiving From: No Channel, 1-150 (Default: No Channel).
      • Disable When Receiving From: No Channel, 1-150 (Default: No Channel).
      • Designate as current checkpoint when receiving from: No Channel, 1-150 (Default: No Channel).
      • When checkpoint is complete, transmit to: No Channel, 1-150 (Default: No Channel).
      • When the set point is current, transmit to: No channel, 1-150 (default: No channel).
      • Known issues:
        • None in the class identifier means Anyone. We will fix this bug in future updates and add separate values for Any class and No class.

    CORRECTING DEVICE AND OBJECT ERRORS

    • Capture zone special effects now appear correctly when captured.
    • The flag is no longer visible when equipping it.
    • Fixed an issue where the score manager would display inconsistent colors in specific numbers.
    • We've made changes to the way the billboard device displays text colors to improve the overall appearance of colored text.

    BETA TESTS

    • In this update, the XL Islands and the new Space Thermometer go to beta testing.
    • XL Islands
      • These islands are 12 times larger (approximately) than normal islands.
      • The Flat Grid and Island Terrain versions have been moved to beta.
      • Due to the size of these islands, we have had to decrease the overall number of islands accessible from the welcome center.
    • Space thermometer
      • The Space Thermometer is a new memory management system designed to allow creators to take full advantage of the large surfaces of the new L and XL islands. We'll give you more details as development progresses.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT BETA PHASES:

What is the goal of the beta phase program?

As we strive to develop exciting new features for creators, we want to ensure that the more technically challenging and impactful features are properly tested in a live environment without significantly impacting the service. . One way to do this is to publish these functionalities and choose a very small number of users to test them and send us reports. Error reports and user impressions help us to resolve the most serious errors, improve the user experience, and know what to expect when the functionality is published.

What kind of functionality will go through a beta phase instead of being released directly?

Those that have a higher technical complexity or require a significant number of user reports before publication.

Will all functionalities go through beta phase before being published?

No, only those that, due to their complexity, require reports and user impressions will go through the beta phase.

How long will the beta phase last for each feature?

Our intention is that as little as possible. We cannot accurately predict how long they will need to be in beta, and a specific feature may not be released after testing or if it has had to be significantly changed.

Can I join the beta program?

We have purposely selected a very small number of users. The goal is to help our team with very specific testing tasks and to send us specific reports on the functionalities they test. We want to keep the number of users testing features to a minimum to reduce the potential impact on the service or any inconvenience for the majority of players. Therefore, we are not currently accepting applications to be part of the beta phases.

This is where the changes come in, recruits. Five Trap Control Effects can still render Husks immune. But, if they are not hit by a control effect for at least 30 seconds, the counter will reset to zero. It's the perfect time to send them back through your tunnels!
