WSee information about this Fish in pedia |
The Frog (Frog in English) is an amphibian, whose hunting is carried out by fishing, it is found in ponds and emits a sound. It is curious that this species of frog has been chosen for the game, because in theory it does not go much to the water but is more terrestrial, as shown in the museum (where it is always on the lily pad), unlike the pond (where It is always under water, although this is mainly due to the fact that there are no water lilies in the pond and also, if there were, the frog would have to hunt with the net and it would be considered a Bug. It is also important to insist that it is an amphibian and not a fish, although in Animal Crossing everything that is caught with the rod is considered a fish. From Animal Crossing: New Leaf is incorporated into the tadpoles, the still young frogs, as another of the catchable fish in the game, completely alien to the adult form, since they are considered two different fish and go separately. No matter how long the tadpole passes, the tadpole will not age and will turn into a frog.

Fishing
The Frog is very easy to fish, since it is not very fast nor very rare. In turn, identifying it is a piece of cake because if the player approaches it they can hear it croaking, which will allow them to distinguish it from other pond fish such as the Killi, the River Crab or the Tadpole.

Crroooc! Croac! This is my imitation of the Amazonian green frog! Here we have frogs and toads on display. You already know that they are not fish, but in this collection due to lack of space. We tried placing them with the bugs, but it didn't work. They ate them ... And now we are going to install this amphibian comfortably. Controlled humidity guaranteed. Here you will be happy! - Socrates.
Wild world
Many people find frogs repulsive, but in many countries they are eaten ... Don't make that face! Apparently their meat is tender and delicate, uhu. What may seem disgusting to some, is delightful to others. - Socrates.
City Folk/Let's Go to the City
Fascinating ... Did you know that frogs color their way of croaking according to what they want to communicate? Many things are said! Like, for example, "ouch", "let's run away", "I like you ♥" ... With a little practice, I might be able to learn the language of these unique amphibians! Uhu-croac! - Socrates.
New Leaf
Frogs show a preference for ponds, swamps and, in general, places with humidity. They are terrestrial, so they have skin and lungs instead of gills on the sides of the neck. Tadpoles do have gills, but they lose them when they reach adulthood. They are almost always wet, otherwise they would have trouble breathing. Some species have poisonous skin, so when in doubt it is best not to touch them. - Museum panel.
New Horizons
Did you know that frogs communicate with each other through a wide variety of sounds? For example ... Croac! (Mosquitoes for dinner!) Cric croac! (The pond is awful!) Croaaac cric ... (My haunches itch.) Uhuhu! The translations I'm making up, of course. But one of these days I ask them! - Socrates.

Extra information
Frogs are characterized by lacking a tail, by presenting a short and very wide body, and highly developed hind legs adapted for jumping.
The tree frog is only found in Japan. Like many tree frogs, it is green in color. The frog is considered very common and is of least concern on the IUCN Red List. They have been to space, and a journalist brought some species to the Mir space station in 1990.
