It is therefore no coincidence that Epic Games has decided to "borrow" this system and create a similar mode for its flagship video game: so here I am to illustrate you how the impostor mode of Fortnite works, a type of game that is based precisely on the aforementioned mechanics.

Preliminary information
To better understand how the impostor mode of Fortnite works, I think it is important to start from the basics.
More precisely, it should be mentioned Among Us, an independent title developed by the US software house Innersloth, which in 2022 achieved resounding success. Although the video game was originally released in 2022, the real "boom" in fact occurred two years later, when in September the number of daily players had reached 2,7 million.
Why did I refer to Among Us? The reason is simple: the impostor mode is essentially a "response" to the Innersloth title, clearly realized in salsa Fortnite. The bases are in fact very similar and a bit 'all reminiscent of the aforementioned video game, even if obviously there is no shortage of differences.
Fortnite's impostor mode is played in a maximum of 10 players: 2 are impostor and 8 are Area. The former must try to storm the bridge, while the latter have the task of protect it. As you can imagine, the Agents don't know who the impostors are and I have to try to find them.
In short, it is essentially played for check the Bridge. All very simple at a basic level: the impostors win if they manage to eliminate "in the shadows" a good number of Agents, while the latter can win completing all tasks linked to the Bridge or finding the impostors and "chasing them" through Voting. In any case, to play the latter, I remind you that you just need to press the button MODIFICATION, present on the right in the main screen game, select the tile impostor, press the key ACCEPT and select the option LET'S PLAY.
Area
- Area, that is, those who must defend the Bridge, generally they are in the majority: given the possibility of playing with up to 10 users, at the beginning of the game there can be up to 8 Agents. The latter belong to the so-called Imaginary Order (OI).
If you find yourself in this role early in the game (the game randomly chooses what your task is), you will have to try to complete all tasks that Fortnite offers you (which you can see at the top left of the screen).
Just remember that the Agent activity bar present at the bottom is that collective, so it goes up even if the other Agents in your game complete tasks.
Assignments
As for the gameplay dedicated to the role of Agent, the main mechanics are certainly that of assignments.
On the map you are shown the position of the latter, while at the bottom there is the bar showing theprogress of the activities as Agent. To give you a concrete example of the "missions" you may be required to perform during the game, you may need to use the weapons report, deliver fuses, shoot some target with a weapon, clean the refreshment area o entertain Kevin, just to name a few possibilities.
Activities are often very simple and self-explanatory: you will hardly need directions to complete them. For example, for entertain Kevin you may need to collect gods glasses from a garbage can e throw them against a purple cube in the center of the room.
For the rest, it is sometimes simply required, for example, of pick up an object and take it somewhere or maybe interact with some element in the way desired by the game (in any case you will always find everything written on the screen). In some cases you may come across minigames based on the timingbut nothing too complex.
In short, you shouldn't have any particular problems to follow the "missions" proposed by Fortnite during a game in impostor mode.
Ratings
Agents may not have an easy time completing tasks and completing the appropriate bar at the bottom center of the screen. Indeed, the impostors have the task of "putting a spoke in the wheel".
In this context, the important mechanics of Voting. In simple terms, if an Agent discovers something or has doubts can call everyone "to gather" e accuse a particular player, pointing the finger at it (literally, users are gathered in a circle and pointing the finger at whoever is believed to be an impostor).
Obviously, in the course of voting it is possible to use predefined options to give other players directions about the impostor. You may think it is difficult to use preset phrases to communicate in such a way, but in reality nothing is missing.
Taking advantage of this mechanic is very simple, as much as you can select the phrase that you think is most valid in the voting phase and the latter will appear on the screen for all, giving birth to a simple discussion via preset phrases (obviously in the language you usually play Fortnite in).
In case there are enough votes (users can also choose not to vote if they are unsure), the chosen player is eliminated from the game. Only at that moment it will be found out if he was actually an impostor or if the players have mistakenly chosen to "take out" an ally (and therefore to do an unwitting favor to the impostors).
In any case, a player can "call" a vote if he finds something wrong or if he wants to make accusations. There are several ways to do this: if a user discovers a fragment, or the "trace" of another eliminated Agent, can start one vote accusing someone. Alternatively, you can start a vote at any time (except when there is a timer on the screen or a power failure) via the Discussion console, located in the center of the bridge (the room where the game starts).
Put simply, if you play an Agent, you have to keep your eyes peeled while carrying out assignments, so try to understand who the impostors are. Among other things, every now and then the latter could take assignments offline, carrying out sabotage.
In that case, you will be prompted to run as soon as possible in some areas marked on the map, arranging certain elements that show theattention icon. The assignments will become available again for the Agents once everything wrong is fixed, that is restoring the power.
You may also be teleported somewhere or banana dress, since these are the powers that the impostors can use to "put a spoke in the wheel" to the agents.
Group chat
Always remaining in the field of voting, it is clearly very important to use the group chat means preset phrases, so as to provide the right information to the other players e try to point the finger at the right player.

Obviously, convincing other users will not be easy and calling up, for example, a discussion for nothing could make them suspect that you are the impostor. In short, pay attention to the communication technique you use.

If at the start of the game you are identified as Impostor, the gameplay changes radically from that of the Agents.
Of course, you may think you are pretending to be carrying out assignments groped to "send off course" the opponents, but the beauty comes when you take into account the mechanics designed for the impostors.
An impostor has several advantages: for example, he can decide by means of a special key to activate some sabotage, or Bananita Group (dresses all players like bananas for a limited time, disguising them and eventually allowing the impostors to carry out their actions undetected), Deactivate tasks (to temporarily slow down the Agents) e Player teleportation (to disperse users across the map, slowing them down and perhaps isolating them).
Clearly it is not possible to carry out an operation of this type one after the other, but you have to wait some time before you can use it again one of Bananita Group, Deactivate Tasks and Player Teleportation.
These are possibilities designed to put a "spanner in the works" for agents, but obviously the impostors must be careful not to be tracked down. In this sense, the most risky action is certainly that of delete an Agent, as the latter it will then leave a fragment on the ground.
Incidentally, an impostor must wait a certain time following a crime, therefore it is not possible to take out the opposing team in a row (time is needed to allow the Agents to call a discussion).
However, I remind you that to win the impostors must eliminate the agents so that they are in such a number that they can no longer "fit" them, so sooner or later it is necessary to take a risk (as otherwise all the tasks will be completed and the game will be lost). L'elimination of agents it can take place either through crime than through a "wrong" vote, so there are more ways for the impostors to take control of the Bridge.
In any case, even the impostors vote and they can put in place some techniques to "mislead" the Agents, maybe pretending to carry out assignments o accusing the other impostor in the voting phase if a crime is obvious (in this way, the remaining impostor could gain the trust of the other players and potentially win).
If you are an impostor, you will know who the other impostor is and the latter will always be marked with a written in red above his name, also in the voting phase. This means you can try to protect each other and you will know when it is "in danger".
Tips for the impostor mode of Fortnite
Now that you are aware of a little of all the mechanics made available by the imposter mode of Fortnite, I would like to provide you some quick tips that could come in handy during your games. You can find them below.
- See what happens once you are eliminated: when an impostor is discovered, he is "trapped" between realities. Put simply, he becomes a ghost and can simply see what other players are doing. - Use group chat, but not too aggressively: Be careful when calling a discussion, as some users may dislike it, especially if your predictions related to the impostor turn out to be incorrect. Other users will think that you have "self-reported" and probably won't think twice about killing you, even if you are an Agent.
