Let me guess: you're basically the only one in your group who still doesn't play it.
In the end, therefore, since you are passionate about video games and you don't mind cartoon-style graphics, you have decided that you want to deepen the title of Epic Games: the problem is that you have not yet understood well how to download and install fortnite on pc, so you've come this far looking for directions.

System requirements for Fortnite
Before explaining in detail how to download and install fortnite on pc, I think it might be useful to know a little more about requirements required by the title of Epic Games.
Before downloading and installing this game it is in fact very important to check that your computer falls within the parameters that I will indicate below, so that you can be able to obtain a satisfying gaming experience.
Then compare i minimum technical requirements and recommended technical requirements with the technical characteristics of your computer, in order to understand if your device is able to support this title. Obviously, I will refer to the Windows operating system.
Minimum system requirements for Fortnite
- Operating System: Windows 10 a 64 bit;
- Processor: Core i5-7300U da 3,5 GHz;
- RAM: 8GB;
- Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 960, AMD R9 280 or GPU DX11 equivalents;
- VRAM: 2GB
Recommended system system requirements for Fortnite
- Operating System: Windows 10 a 64 bit;
- Processor: Core i7-8700, AMD Ryzen 7 3700× or equivalent;
- RAM: 16GB;
- Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 1080, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or equivalent;
- VRAM: 4GB
If you want to know how locate the components of your Windows computer, just follow the directions I am about to give you.
Search System Information in the Start menu and select the first result returned. In the window that will appear on the screen, just take a look at the section System resources. Through this panel you can view the configuration of your computer and compare it with the previously indicated requirements. How to download and install Fortnite on PC
After giving you some preliminary pointers, I'd say it's time to take action. Below you can find all the relevant information regarding the procedure for installing Fortnite on PC.
How to download Epic Games Launcher on PC
Before you can actually install Fortnite on your computer, you need to go through theEpic Games Launcher. In other words, it is a program created by the developers of the game, which contains all the necessary features related to the management of titles available on the Epic Games Store (their official digital store). In any case, as you can imagine, it will also be necessary to create a Epic Games account to be able to log in.
To proceed, just connect to the official Fortnite portal and the download will start automatically (alternatively, just click on the box Windows). By doing so, you will get the EpicInstaller- [version] -fortnite.msi.
Then open the latter and click on the buttons in succession Install, Yes e Yes, waiting for all the necessary operations to be carried out (generally in this phase the additional files related to the Epic Games Launcher are also downloaded).
Once the installation is done, click on the button Yes and you will see that will appear on the screen home page of the Epic Games Launcher, which will require you to register an account or to run the login (You can also use accounts like those tied to the console, for example PlayStation Network or Xbox Live).
Make your choice by pressing the appropriate button ACCESS NOW and logging in with the account you have chosen, or click on the entry SUBSCRIBE, present below, and register a new profile.
In case you have opted for the latter option, you will have to choose how to register, following the options available on the screen. To be clear, you can choose to sign up via the profile PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Facebook, Google, Nintendo o Steam. Alternatively, you can select the option Sign up with email to proceed in a "classic" way.
Either way, just simply follow the indicazioni that will appear on the screen and you will see that you will be able to log in or register in no time. How to install Fortnite on PC
Once you have logged in with your Epic Games profile on the Epic Games Launcher as indicated in the previous chapter, you can safely proceed toFortnite installation.
In fact, after logging in, you will be automatically taken to the page dedicated to the game, from which you can download and install. More precisely, just press the button IN THE BOOKSHOP (or possibly on that GET, confirming "free purchase" at zero euros).
By doing so, you will reach the page of games linked to your account. You just have to click on the box Fortnite, select the percorso in which to save the game, choose whether to leave the automatic updates and whether to create a shortcut and click the button Install, then pressing the button Yes to confirm your willingness to install the game.
Perfect now Fortnite will be downloaded and installed automatically. You can keep it in check status of the operation pressing the button Download, which is located at the bottom left of the Epic Games Launcher. Once the system has finished, you can start having fun (I remind you that, if you have decided to create a shortcut, you will also find theFortnite icon on the desktop).
In short, Epic Games made it very simple download and install Fortnite on PC. In fact, as you have seen, the time required is really minimal.
How to download and install Fortnite on Mac
How do you say? Would you like to play Fortnite su Mac? In this case, unfortunately, I have to give you bad news, as unfortunately there was one "Diatribe" between Apple and Epic Games, that is the developers of Fortnite.
In the past it was in fact possible as easily as possible download and install Fortnite on Mac, but then, as I have already explained in my guide on how to download Fortnite on iPhone, in 2022 there were some disputes in relation to commissions related to micro-transactions present within the game. This has actually put a bit of "confusion" as regards the relationship between Apple and Epic Games (however, this is not the right place to go into further detail), so much so as to involve theinability for users to download Fortnite for Mac.
In fact, as explained in the official Epic Games guidelines, development of this version of the game has been discontinued. In short, unfortunately it is not possible to do much from this point of view.
In any case, if you have a Mac with Intel processor you might think about dual booting Windows and playing Fortnite on your Mac like this, if the specs allow.
