What makes it particularly interesting are the cartoon style and the completely different game setting in each game, but above all its cost: you may not believe it, but you can get Fortnite for free. How do you say? You can't wait to get involved but would like some tips to know how to download fortnite? Don't worry, luckily for you you have come to the right guide at the right time!

How to download Fortnite on computer
Unlike many video games, Fortnite is not available on digital distribution platforms, such as Steam, but it is possible to download it for free from the official website of its manufacturer: I will soon explain how.
Minimum and recommended requirements
Before going into the details of the Fornite download and installation procedure, you need to know what the minimum requirements necessary for the game to work and compare them with your computer's specifications.
- Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit, macOS Sierra;
- Processor:Core i5 2.4Ghz;
- Memory: 4 GB;
- Video Card: IntelHD4000;
- Free disk space: 15 GB.
For better gaming experience, you need to have a computer with the following recommended requirements.
- Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit, macOS Sierra;
- Processor:Core i5 2.8Ghz;
- Memory: 16 GB;
- Video Card: Nvidia GT 650, AMD Radeon HD 7870;
- Free disk space: 20 GB.
Download and install Launcher Epic Games
After making sure that your computer has the minimum requirements to play Fortnite, you can proceed with the download and installation of Launcher Epic Games, the software you need to download and play Fortnite.
Then connect to the Epic Games website and click on the button Download present in the main screen. Alternatively, tap on the item Get Fortnite placed in the menu at the top and presses on the option Download. Adesso, pulsating premium Log in, enter your data in the fields Username e Password and click sul pulsating Log in but I will access your account.
If you don't have an account yet, press the buttons Log in concerning Facebook e Google to connect your social account to Epic Games, otherwise fill out the form to register via email. Then enter your details in the fields Your name, Last name, Visualized name (minimum 3 and maximum 16 characters), E-mail e Password, then put a check mark next to the entry I have read and accept the terms of service and click sul pulsating Create account.
Within a few moments you will receive an email containing a link to verify your identity: click on the button Check email to complete the activation procedure.
After creating your account, the download of the game will start automatically: if this is not the case, in the new open page, press the buttons Windows o Mac to manually start the download of the Epic Games launcher.
Once the download is complete, you can proceed with installing the game on your computer. If you have a PC Windows, double-click the file EpicInstaller- [version] -fortnite.msi and presses the buttons Run e Install, then wait for the installation and download of updates to complete and that's it.
If you use a Mac, april il dmg package just downloaded and drag Epic Games Launcher in the folder Applications macOS, then open the folder Applications, right click on the Epic Games Laucher icon and click on the entry apri to start the software (this operation is only necessary at the first start, to bypass Apple's restrictions on software from non-certified developers).
Download Fortnite
Once the installation and download of the files necessary for the launcher to work, you can finally start the Fortnite download. In the new open window, enter your login details, put the check mark next to the item Remember me (to not repeat the operation at each start) and click the button Sign in to access.
Now, make sure you are on the Fortnite, presses the green button Install, put the check mark required to accept the license agreement and click the button Accept. Press on the voice again Install, choose the folder and percorso installation. If you wish, put the check mark next to the item Automatic updates and press on the item Install to start the Fortnite download.
As mentioned above, the game takes up approximately 15 GB and, consequently, the download can take a few hours, especially if your connection is not fast. During the wait you can view the download progress, the downloaded data and press the button Pause to temporarily interrupt the download or press the button X to cancel the operation.
When the download is complete, click on the button starts to start playing, while if you intend to uninstall the game, you can click on the icon gear wheel I will select the voice Remove.
How to download Fortnite on console
Fortnite it is also available for free for the latest generation consoles such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and the download and installation procedure is almost identical for both game systems. Do you want to know how to do it? I'll explain it to you right away.
If you have one PS4, presses the icon of toolbox to access the Settings, tap on the item Network e Configure Internet Connection and choose the type of connection between Use Wi-Fi e Use a network (LAN) cable.
After connecting the console to the Internet, go to the menu Settings> Account Management> Sign in to PlayStation Network and connect to your account by entering your login details in the fields Login ID e Password, while if you do not have an account yet presses on the voice New to PlayStation Network? Create an account e premi sull'opzione Subscribe now to create one.
Now, press the icon of shopping bag to access the PlayStation Store, tap on the item Search and type Fortnite in the search field, then presses the button Download to start the download. To learn more, read my guide on how to play online on PS4.
If you use a Xbox One, make sure your console is connected to the internet, otherwise press the button Xbox present on the controller and go to the menu Settings> All Settings> Network> Network Settings and select the item Configure wireless network. Adesso, pulsating premium Log in present on the home screen and enter your login details to connect to your account: if you don't have one yet, you can read my in-depth guide.
To start the Fortnite download, launch it Store Xbox, presses the button search, search for Fortnite and presses the button for download the game. Once the download is complete, the video game will be available in the list of games available on your Xbox One.
How to download Fortnite on smartphones and tablets
Fortnite has also landed for free on smartphones and tablets Android e iOS / iPadOS but, before explaining in detail how to download it, I have to make some important clarifications.
Su Android, the game is available on both Play Store and on the dedicated terminal stores Samsung Galaxy e Huawei Mobile Services. On iOS / iPadOS it is possible to start playing immediately by downloading the game Fortnite from the App Store.
Compatible devices and minimum requirements
play Fortnite on Android e iOS / iPadOS some minimum technical requirements are required and, furthermore, only some devices are currently compatible. In the following lines you can therefore find information regarding the supported devices and, more generally, the system requirements: if the device you own does not appear in the list, it could still be supported, as long as it meets them.

Download Fortnite for Android
The first solution I recommend you try is to download Fortnite for Android from Play Store by Google. Then tap on the colored ▶ ︎ icon on the home screen or in the app drawer, search Fortnite and press the game icon first and then the button Install, to proceed with the download and installation of the title. If you do not find Fortnite in the Play Store, you can try to visit this direct link or, alternatively, proceed by following the advice you find below.
A device is possible Samsung among those supported, you can download Fortnite starting the Galaxy Apps (the icon with the symbol of a shopping bag) from its home screen. Then locate Fortnite via the internal search engine (if it is not present in the store's home screen) and install it by pressing the download button.
If, on the other hand, you have a device Huawei with HMS and AppGallery, you can download the Fortnite installer from AppGallery and install Fortnite through it.
To download Fortnite on an Android device that doesn't support any of the aforementioned solutions, you can get the game's apk file a by visiting this page.
Carry out these preliminary operations, open the browser you usually use to surf the Internet and connect to this Web page. On the page you see on the screen, press the button Sign up to receive the invitation email, award your bottone Si o No, if you want to transfer the progress and purchases made on Fortnite to other platforms, and then log in with your account data (email address e Password).
Now, use the drop-down menu Select the Android device to indicate the Android device you own and press on Select, to register for the waiting list. You will receive an invitation to the beta via email with a link to download the APK file.
The downloaded file can be opened directly from the browser or through a file manager app, such as Files Go by Google. When the application is started, you just have to press on first Install and then apriafter the download is complete. Later some components of the game will be installed; at the end of this procedure, tap again on Install and apri.
We are almost there; wait for the patch to download and, when finished, press the buttons Si, to log in with your email address and password, transferring your progress if necessary (or tap on No, if you want to create a new account right now).
Once logged in you will find yourself in the main Fortnite screen and you can then start playing. Have fun!
Download Fortnite on iOS / iPadOS
download Fortnite on iOS o iPadOS, avvia l 'App Store by tapping on its icon from the home screen of your device (è the symbol of a stylized "A" white on a light blue background), then tap the button Search (The symbol of a magnifying glass) located in the bar below and, using the search engine you see on the screen, type Fortnite, then pressing the key Search on the keyboard.
Identified the icon of the game in question (it is developed by epic Games), tap on it to view its preview screen. To install Fortnite, then press the buttons Get e Install. You may be asked to verify your identity through touch ID, Face ID o Password iCloud account.
To start Fortnite at the end of the download, press the button apri from the App Store or tap the game icon that has been added to the home screen of your device.
When starting the game, wait for the patch download to be completed automatically (usually it takes a few minutes), then press the button Yes to log in (if you have already created an account previously and want to transfer your progress), or tap on No, to create an account on the spot epic Games (in this case, refer to the instructions in this paragraph).
Once logged in, you will find yourself in the main Fortnite screen and you can start playing: have fun!
