The titles you play most often on computer are Fortnite and Rocket League. Over the course of long sessions, to your great satisfaction, you have accumulated a real “virtual fortune” on both games: skins, special items, exclusive cars and more. For a few days, however, due to a breakdown, your PC has been undergoing repairs and you would like to play the titles in question on PS4, without having to start all over "from scratch".
You've heard that you can transfer your game progress by pairing your own account Epic to the console, but having never done this before you would need a little help to do so. Did I guess? Optimal! In this case, if you want, I can give you a hand: in the course of the next few lines, in fact, I will explain to you in detail how to link epic accounts to ps4.
You will see that, by following my instructions to the letter, you will have no problem doing what you set out to do; also because, the operation in question is really very simple. Preliminary information
Before taking action, I think it's useful to give you a quick overview of the possibilities offered by the Epic account link to PS4 and what are the conditions for it to be possible.
To begin with, the Epic Games account must necessarily be linked to that of the PlayStation Network. The latter is the same one you use to shop on the PlayStation Store and play online with your friends. If you do not have a profile of this type, you will find all the instructions to create one in my tutorial dedicated to the topic.
That said, there are several reasons why linking your Epic account to your PSN account is beneficial. As mentioned at the beginning, you should know that by connecting the two profiles in question it is possible to synchronize the game progress for various titles such as Fortnite and Rocket League.
This means that your game profile with all unlocked items can be automatically "shared" between the various platforms on which you play the title for which the feature is available. In this way, you will also be able to find the same ones on the PS4 version of your Epic Games games friends that you added on other platforms through your Epic account.
The same link also allows you to access all content purchased via PS4 microtransactions (i.e. in-game purchases paid for in real currency and other paid content) on other gaming platforms.
A clarification before continuing: an Epic account can only be linked to a specific PSN account (even if you decide to unlink the two accounts later, the Epic account can only be associated again with the PSN account you linked it to. the first time and not to a different one). Therefore, if you have more than one PSN account, consider carefully which one to link your Epic profile to. Is everything clear so far? Well then let's proceed!
How to associate Epic accounts with PS4
In the next chapters I will show you in detail how to link epic accounts to ps4. As already mentioned above, the operation is really immediate, regardless of your reference platform. I also inform you that it is also possible to associate the aforementioned account directly from Fortnite on console.
How to link Epic accounts to PS4 from computer
Connect your account Epic toaccount PSN on computer it will only take a handful of clicks and you can do it directly from the official website of the Epic Games store using any browser. First, open the home page of the Epic Games site and click on the item Log in placed in the upper right corner.
Then press the button Log in with Epic Games and type theemail address associated with your account in the appropriate field compilation. Then enter the Password in lower field (if you don't remember it, take a look at my tutorial on how to recover the Fortnite password) and, finally, press the button Sign in now!.
At this point, click on yours username, in the upper right corner, and then click on the item Account of the menu that is proposed to you. Proceed, therefore, by clicking on the item Connections placed in the list on the left, then click on the item Account placed on the right. From here, click the button Connected placed under the heading PlayStation Network and then press the button Colleague account.
A new page will open where you will need to enter your credentials (email address e Password) of theaccount PSN (click here if you don't remember them) in the appropriate fields. Once this is done, hit the button Log in and then on the button Colleague account And that's it.
If, at a later time, you decide to "separate" the two accounts, go back to the section Connections of your Epic account and press the button first Log out, placed under the heading PlayStation Network, and then on the button Disconnect. That's all!
How to link Epic accounts from PS4
You prefer to proceed directly from PS4? You can do what I told you in the previous chapter by using the browser on the Sony console (to start it, just press the key X controller icon WWW in the main menu or in yours library) and following the same steps I showed you previously). Alternatively, you can link an Epic account to PS4 directly on first launch of Fortnite.
After downloading the game to your console, press the button X of the controller on its icon in the PS4 main menu, to launch it. After the initial loading you will be automatically taken to the title splash screen. Then press the button X on the item Link an account and then you will be shown a code.
Pin it somewhere and proceed by connecting to the page epicgames.com/activate (in the meantime, do not press any other buttons on the PS4 controller and stay on the code screen). Once the login page opens, type the code you previously pinned and press the button Continue.
Perfect! you just did everything there was to do - the game screen should instantly update with your Epic account data. For more details on this procedure, check out my tutorial on how to link Fortnite accounts.
How to link Epic accounts to PS4 from smartphones and tablets
How do you say? You want to know if it's possible connect Epic accounts to PS4 from smartphones and tablets? Of course yes! I'll show you immediately how to proceed. Connect to the main page of the Epic store, with any browser and tap the ≡ button at the top right. Then press on the item Log in and then tap the button Log in with Epic Games.
Now type theemail address and Password of your account and press the button Sign in now!, to log in. At this point, tap the ≡ button again, press the name of your account located at the bottom and then tap on the item Account. Then continue by pressing the button at the top left, next to the item Account settings and, from here, click on the item Connections.
To proceed, all you have to do is press the button Connected placed under the heading PlayStation Network, then tap the button Colleague account and insert the credentials of your account PSN. Really easy, do you agree?
