Launch Roblox Studio
We all know that to develop maps in Roblox it is necessary to have the construction tool Roblox Studio, which you can download completely free from your home page. Once installed, do the following:
- Run the application Roblox studio.
- Select one of the available game templates or open the map that is in development.
Add an NPC
Once you have the map open, the next thing you should do is include the NPC, for this you must follow these steps:
- On the left is the section «Toolbox», you must write in the search area the word «NPC».
- You will have at your disposal various copies of NPCs. Click or drag the NPC to where you want to insert it.
Program the NPC
This is one of the most important steps, since here you will be able to bring your NPC to life by using certain programming codes. Your NPC will perform a different action according to the code you use.
- Select the NPC you have added with one click.
- Locate on the right the section "To explore". Now click on the symbol "+".
- This will bring up different options. Write the word in the search engine "Script" and choose the first option.
- It will automatically show a new window with a welcoming programming code, in that window the NPC will be programmed.
- Now you must delete the code that shows and paste the programming of the NPC. In our case we will insert the code known as Follow Script. With this code your NPC will start to follow the players on the map everywhere.
- When pasting all the Follow Script commands, close the window and run the game to make sure everything is fine. To do this, press the F5 key or click on Play.
