You have therefore heard of DreamHack, a famous organization that offers online tournaments dedicated to games like Fortnite, and you would like to try to participate; however you cannot find the sign up button on the official website. I can confirm that the button you are looking for is not always present, and it is a very normal thing. Signing up for DreamHack often takes players to wait, which is why I have prepared this tutorial, in which I will explain how things stand and guide you step by step to registering for an online gaming event.

Before getting to the heart of the guide, I wanted to give you some preliminary information on DreamHack. You must know that this historic organization is one of the most famous promoters of prize game events on a global scale. It gathers participants from all over the world and carries out local events both in Europe and in the United States, although by now most of the events take place online.
Among the events organized by DreamHack are the Festival, gatherings lasting from 3 to 4 days in which the participant must bring their personal equipment, such as their own PC, monitor, mouse and keyboard, to compete in daily tournaments. DreamHack provides each of them with a table, a chair, a multi-socket power strip and an Ethernet cable for connecting the players to the network.
Le online competitions they are the most widespread and most accessible event; they do not require you to physically move from one state to another and offer very attractive cash prizes. If, as I understand, you are interested in this, know that you can participate from soloist or compete in a team. It all depends on the type of event and the game. Anyway, to give you an idea of the titles interested in competitions, among them are: League of Legends, Starcraft 2, Warcraft 3, Fortnite and more.

How to register for DreamHack
Having made the necessary premises mentioned above, we can go to the point. I bet you can't understand how to register for DreamHack. Well, you should know that there are several ways to do this, but each of them is only accessible through a public invitation; that is, you must wait for DreamHack to post the online registration link to participate in its tournaments. Unfortunately, there is no constantly accessible subscription and the best way not to miss this appointment is to follow its official social pages.
The official DreamHack channel on Discord is a great way to keep up to date on events scheduled for the current year. When an event approaches, DreamHack publishes the link for registration in the #announcements section. I suggest, therefore, to deepen the functioning of Discord (if you have not already done so), to visit the official DreamHack channel and click on the button Follow, located at the bottom of Discord, in order to receive notifications from the aforementioned section in "real time".
Another safe and effective way to get DreamHack's tournament registration link is to follow its official Twitter page. On this page, DreamHack publishes a little bit of everything: from world news to Retweet of other pages, but a few weeks before the scheduled event, DreamHack will publish the registration link accessible to all. Another way to stay up to date on DreamHack events, and get instructions for joining the next tournament, is to join the mailing list of ESL Gaming GmbH, which will send an email notification for every News published, including upcoming DreamHack events. You can do this by filling out the form I just linked to you.
The last way to be able to sign up for DreamHack is to manually follow the official website updates. This is the least effective method of all, because you have to manually access the site to check, week by week, if there are any news and if the page dedicated to the next event appears with all the details and dates, including the button to the inscription.
How to sign up for DreamHack Fortnite
If your goal is to participate solo in a tournament of Fortnite, then the information I wrote in this chapter is just right for you.
If you want to know how to sign up for DreamHack Fortnite, you must first own a Epic Games account valid: what is generally required in order to play Fortnite. It is not mandatory to have one right away or during the registration phase for tournaments, but if you do not complete this step before the start time of the event on the continent, you will be excluded from the competition.
In this regard, if you don't have an account yet and would like to create it now, I suggest you read my complete and detailed guide in which I explain how to create an Epic Games account in a few simple steps.
After obtaining the Epic Games account, you must constantly monitor the official DreamHack web page relating to the events dedicated to the Fortnite game. If there are any upcoming events, you will see the performance data and a button to access the registration. But the most effective ways to stay updated and receive the registration link are always the ones I proposed in the previous chapter of the guide, that is to follow the DreamHack social channels.
When will the registration link at the next Fortnite event in the different social channels, you can open it from both computer and mobile devices. The landing page will contain a Google form with standard information fields to be filled in: name, last name, Nickname di Fortnite, home address, country of origin etc. Complete in the way correct and truthful all the information fields and then continue to the following pages by pressing the appropriate button Next located at the bottom.
At the end of the registration you will be directed to the event page on the Epic Games website, accessible only to registered players. Here you will see the number of competitors overall, the date where the event will take place and the consul with which it will be possible to compete: PC, Xbox One/X/S, Playstation 4/5, Nintendo Switch or also Android / iOS / iPadOS mobile devices.
How to register for DreamHack Duos
If the Fortnite solo tournament isn't to your liking, you need to know that DreamHack has kicked off an unexpected twist: a series of duo events called Duos. This is the perfect opportunity to enter the competition with your friend or gaming partner and prove who you are. If you want to know how to register for DreamHack Duos, you will find the answer in the next paragraphs.
Similar to Fortnite tournaments organized for soloists, Duos tournaments also require an early registration and Epic Games account. After you have created and validated your Epic Games account, you will have to wait for the publication of the link to register for the Duos event.
As pointed out in a previous chapter, I strongly suggest you follow one of the DreamHack social pages, not to miss an update, including the public invitation to register for the next tournament. When the Duos registration link is openly shared, click on the published URL and you will be shown a Google form to be filled in carefully.
The only big difference with the registration form for a solo tournament, is that in this registration request you will find a text field in which you must correctly specify the your partner's nickname of Fortnite. Your partner will have to do the same during his registration and enter your Fortnite nickname in order to validate the couple (or Duos) at the time of data collection.
When you have filled out the registration form, you will be shown the URL of the page relating to the Duos event that will be hosted on the Epic Games website: there, you and your partner, you will be able to see all the details of the event, such as the date matches, semifinals and final and the total number of participants.
At that point, all you have to do is prepare yourself to compete against other pairs of challengers who will do everything to prevent you from winning. Good luck!
