So you ask yourself if I can help you and explain how to identify a group conversation in this famous messaging application.

In addition, I will give you tips on how to search for a Telegram group through the channels present on the platform and the websites that play the role of search engine.

Types of groups
Before explaining in detail how to search for groups on Telegram, I have to clarify the differences and list the types of the same. This is because the Telegram application does not only provide for one type of group, but three: the private group, private supergroup and public supergroup.
The types of groups differ from each other for the methods of access and the possibility of being identified by users. In the following lines, I will then tell you about the main characteristics of the three groups mentioned.
- Private group: is a multi-user chat that can host up to 100.000 members at the same time. Being a private group, it cannot be identified by Telegram users. To access it, you must be manually added by a administrator (who can share access to the group via a specific link) or by group members, if the settings allow it.
- Private supergroup: This multi-user chat, capable of hosting up to 100.000 members, differs from the private group in that administrators can moderate it by pinning or deleting messages and taking other actions. Also in this case, being a private group, this cannot be identified directly in the Telegram app, as to access it you must be added by an administrator or accept the invitation received via the link created by the same.
- Public supergroup: it is a multi-user chat that has the same characteristics of the private supergroup but differs in the possibility of being identified by Telegram users. As I will explain to you in the next chapters, the public Supergroups can be identified using the Telegram application and its internal search engine, but also using Internet sites that play the role of search engine.
Search for groups using the Telegram app
Now that you understand the differences between Telegram groups and understand that you can only search for one public supergroup, let's move on to the more practical part of this tutorial.
Over the next few lines I will explain how to search for a group using the Telegram for Android and iOS. You can also perform the same procedure to locate a group via Telegram Web or using the client for Windows and macOS.
To search for a public group via the Telegram, start the latter on the device you are using and, once the home screen is displayed, use the search engine located in the upper left corner to type the name of the group you are looking for. This way, you will be able to see the corresponding search results, next to the wording Global search.
At this point, once you have identified the group of your interest, press on it and then tap (or click), depending on whether you are using the application Telegram on smartphone / tablet or computer and then press the button + Merge (Android / iOS / Web) or the one named + Join the group (Windows/macOS).
Search for groups via websites
Alternatively, another solution you can turn to to look for a group on Telegram relates to the use of a website that acts as a search engine for groups and channels present within the famous instant messaging platform.
In this regard, I suggest the use of Telegram El country, website that deals with aggregating the muzzle, the groups and channels Telegram, allowing you to easily enter the latter, using the appropriate button.
That said, to search for a group on Telegram using Telegram El country, first connect to the site using a browser to surf the Internet and then, in the main screen you see, click on the menu item Groups that you find in the bar at the top.
In this way, you will be able to view the section dedicated to groups and use the search engine at the top to search for a group. You can also make use of the buttons The most voted I e latest, to better order the search for a group.
Also, by touching the wording Groups located at the top, you will be able to view a drop-down menu and through this, more easily identify a category of groups, for example by clicking on an item such as Music o Technology.
If you have identified a group that interests you, you can enter it by clicking on the button Add to Telegram, which you see next to the name.
As an alternative to Telegram El country, you can connect to the website Top Telegram Chats showing the list of groups Telegram more popular. To use it, connect to its home page; then, if you want to be shown only the groups in El country language, click on the item the paeseno you see in the left menu.
In addition, you can filter your search by clicking on the item TOP 100 or on the one called Trending, in order to show, respectively, the list of the 100 most popular groups or those currently trending.
Through this website, once you have identified the group of your interest, you can join it; to do this, press on Telegram symbol that you see in correspondence of the identified group.
Search for groups via Telegram channels
To search for groups on Telegram you can think of subscribing to a channels Telegram, as, usually, in the channels users are invited to subscribe to groups and others channels affiliated with the same.
This usually happens with the largest channels (refer to this tutorial of mine to know which are the best Telegram channels), such as Telegram El country. I am giving this example because it is a channel mainly dedicated to sponsoring other groups and channels.
If you joined the channel Telegram El country, you can then see posts published with the indication Categories: Groups. In this case, tap or click on the link indicated by the administrator of the Telegram channel: you will be redirected to the Telegram website El Paese.
Now, as explained in the previous chapter, click on the button Add to Telegram, in order to start the instant messaging application and subscribe to the selected Telegram group.
