Preliminary operation
Before proceeding with the instructions on how to talk on Fortnite PS4, it seems important to me to explain what you need to access the voice chats of the game and the console.
First, you need to make sure your console is connected to the Internet. To do this, go to the toolbar top and press the button X of the controller on the voice Settings. Then select the icon Network and press the button X controller su Check Internet Connection. Users often wonder whether or not they need to pay for a subscription to use voice chat. Well, you'll be happy to know that both Epic Games and Sony allow users to talk to their friends in Fortnite. completely free.

Activate chat in Fortnite settings
One of the most used methods to talk about Fortnite is to directly take advantage of the convenient functionality present in the game: this allows you to make your voice heard by all the players that the user meets during his game, or by the members of his team. .
To activate this possibility, you just have to start Fortnite, Press the button X controller as soon as prompted, select the game mode of your interest (Save the world, Battle royal o Creative) and press the button O (circle) of the controller to access the Lobby.
After that, press the key Options of the controller, select theicona dell'ingranaggio (the first at the top right), press the button twice R1 and use the right arrow on the option Voice chat, present below.
From the screen that will be proposed to you, you can set the volume of the voice chat, using the directional arrows of the controller above the writing Voice chat volume. Talk on Fortnite for PS4
Fortnite is a very hectic game and therefore a right coordination through voice chat can definitely make a difference to win a game. There are two methods to talk to other players about the Epic Games title: do it directly from the game or create a party with your friends on PlayStation 4. In both cases, don't worry if you don't know how to do it: below are the briefs instructions.
In case you just want to take advantage of the voice chat implemented in the game, you have to connect a headset with microphone to the controller or PS4 and follow the instructions in the chapter on how to activate the chat in the Fortnite settings. I remind you that this method will make your voice heard to all the players you meet during your games.
If, on the other hand, you want to talk only with your friends, you will have to take advantage of the Party functionality of the PlayStation 4. To do this, go to the toolbar top and press the button X of the controller above theParty icon. After that, select the writing Create party, enter the party name and choose whether to set it as private or less and the maximum number of players who can participate.
In case you decide to make a party public, your friends and their respective friends will be able to join the call independently without having the invitation. As for the size of the party, the maximum number of players allowed is eight.
Once you are done adjusting the settings, press the button X of the controller above the writing Create Party. A screen will appear, from which you can select the friends to invite to the party: to do this, press the button X of the controller above friend's name to invite and select the writing Invite, present at the bottom right. Perfect, you have now created your party!
To manage the party, all you have to do is take advantage of the settings on the right side of the screen: from here you can invite other friends, manage the player limit and even adjust the microphone level. To access the latter option, press the key X of the controller on the writing Party settings e seleziona l'opzione Adjust the microphone level. In case you don't know, there is also a way, among other things very used, to communicate with other players in a non-verbal form: emote. The latter are nothing more than movements and “stickers” that the character can use in the game and that other users can see in real time.
To exploit them, you just have to press the right arrow and then the key R1 of the controller during a game. A will appear on the screen selection wheel, from which you can choose the various Emotes. All you have to do is select an emote via it stick right analog controller and press the button X above it for your character to do it.
To ask other players to help you instead, you just have to press once right arrow controller, select the phrase that best suits your needs ("Enemy sighted", "I need ammo", "I need medicine", "I need materials" or "I need shields") and press the button X controller above it. In some cases it may be necessary to contact an operator: to do this, scroll down the page and press on the blue writing Call us. The number and hours of the Sony service center will appear on the screen. You just have to do the call and explain to the operator the problem you encountered.
