The invitation (Invite Card in English) is a type of letter paper introduced in Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go To The City that serves to enter the Ladino shop, located in the city, in this game. It is a letter paper quite similar to Nook Paper, and curiously at the same time the word "Invitation" is very similar to "Imitation", although that is unconfirmed speculation and quite possibly wrong.

Etymology
Its name comes from the function it performs, since you must receive it from a neighbor in order to enter the Ladino Store.
Appearance
The Invitation bears a strong resemblance to Nook Paper. It has a pale blue border that is rounded at the corners and its advance is cut in the lower left corner where there is a sheet that refers to the logo of the Ladino Shop. Leave a white space at the top that is to put the salutation and the other lines are to write the body of the letters.
Obtaining
City Folk/Let's Go to the City
The first invitation that the player receives is never the blank version to be able to write, but arrives at the mailbox in the form of a letter sent by a neighbor. For a neighbor to send it to you, you will have to do the following:
- Go to the city and try to enter the Ladino Shop. Two things can happen: that he tells you that you cannot pass because you do not have any invitation or that it is closed because all the objects that the Store offered have already been bought and nothing can be bought anymore. If what happens is the first option, which simply does not let you in, follow step two and if not, you should try to go another day when the first option happens to you.
- Go back to town and talk to all the neighbors. One of them (usually one that is at home) when you talk to him will tell you about the Ladino Shop, and you can ask him to send you an invitation.
- The next day you will receive an invitation written by the neighbor that will allow you to show it to Ladino and go inside his store. Once you become "his cousin" you will not need the invitation anymore.
From that moment on, every time you go through the Ladino Store, if you have at least one free space in your pockets, it will interrupt you when you try to leave to give you an invitation, this time in a "blank" format so that you can write and so send it to any friend who is interested in being part of the Ladino family.
New Leaf
At the end, in New Leaf, Ladino returns to his mobile shop, which will appear randomly in the town square once a week, just like Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: Population: Increasing!
Easier
To use letter paper, you must have at least one free space in your letter pocket and press on the paper and give the option to write. Thus, you will choose the sender and start typing with the keyboard that will appear on the screen. Once you finish, you can add a gift by dragging the object to the letter (which will appear in blue because it is something that you are going to send to someone and not something received) and then you just have to go to the Post Office2 and deliver it so that it send.
Annotations
- ↑ It is treated as garbage
- ↑ In Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go To The City you will have to go to the Town Hall, to the window on the right that also acts as a Post Office
