- Lunatone was released alongside the desert-themed Hoenn Pokémon on January 23, 2018.
- In the wild, Lunatone's maximum CP is 1870, however it can reach 2026 if it is caught powered by the weather.
- Lunatone was originally a regional Pokémon from most of the eastern hemisphere (including Europe, Asia, and Oceania).
- Lunatone and Solrock swapped regions on June 21, 2018. [1]
- Niantic has not given very explicit information on what the Lunatone regions are, saying only that it does not appear in the same regions as Solrock.
