Each filtering bag minerals they are an addition to Animal Crossing: New Leaf. They can be found once a day on a rock that will spawn somewhere in the Village. When the player hits a berry rock with the silver shovel, the minerals may appear in increasing rarity, rather than the berries appearing in increasing value.

The minerals can be sold or used in Recycling Equipment to personalize furniture. Additionally, Al can create a random gold series piece of furniture using 3 gold ores and 10,000 berries.

Minerals are also found in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, featured in Appalazo Quarry. The types of minerals that can be obtained include gold, silver, ruby ​​and sapphire. They can be sold for berries or to make furniture.

Furniture customization

By giving a piece of furniture together with a mineral to Al, you can create custom, glossy furniture that is dependent on the color of the mineral being used. Once a piece of furniture and an ore of the appropriate color are delivered to them, the two items will be combined leaving only one item in the player's inventory. Both the furniture and the mineral should already be in the player's inventory when starting the dialogue with Al. Offer him one of the furniture listed below while he has the corresponding color of the mineral. This will automatically trigger a dialog where Al will offer to use the mineral to customize the item. Al will also offer the option to use the normal color customization options if the player prefers.
