Fortnite receives new content. Last week, Epic Games released a gigantic update, 7.20, which, in addition to content, fixed several of the game's systems that had been left "neglected" during the weeks of Christmas.
This week we will enter the Fortnite Challenges Week 8, and Epic wants to reward players with new content before Season 7 ends.

New content for Battle Royale
One of the new features in the Fortnite Battle Royale content update is the stealthy snowman. Basically, it is a snowman costume that will allow us to surprise our rivals on the map.
Shooter shooting
Shooter Shootout came last week, and it's a pretty fun mode where we can take down the enemy with one shot while '' jumping '' across the map. This is the new content and settings coming to the mode:
New arrivals
- Silenced Sniper Rifles have been added.
- Legendary Scoped Pistols have been added to Supply Drops.
Mode details
- Ground loot spawn reduced by 50%.
- Downed teammate resurrection is disabled in duos and squads, watch out!
- Profile stats (kills / kills and wins) are logged in this mode.

Weapons and objects
- Stealthy snowman. Use the main shot to shoot a projectile that creates a destructible snowman. Use secondary fire to get the stealthy snowman. The stealthy snowman has 100 health and serves as a shield to the player wearing it. The stealthy snowman is destroyed when its health reaches zero or when the player wearing it switches to another item or construction mode. This means that a player wearing the stealthy snowman will not be able to build or use other items. All types of movements are allowed. Available in common variant. Can be found in Floor Loot, Chests, and Supply Llamas. Appears in stacks of 5 units. The maximum stack size is 10 units.
- The spawn rate for Shield Potions has been swapped with Small Shield Potions. Shield Potion: Drop rate in chests reduced from 14.26% to 9.51%.
- Drop rate in ground loot reduced from 16.53% to 13.22%.
- The following items have been saved in the vault: Quad Rocket Launcher Portable Fortress Sucker Launcher
- Hang glider spawn rate reduced. Chest spawn rate reduced from 11.89% to 4.43%.
- Balloon spawn frequency has been reduced. Chest spawn rate reduced from 7.58% to 3.24%.
- Reduced the spawn rate of the Quad Rally from 100% to 50%.
- X-4 Stormwing spawn rate reduced from 80% to 50%.

Events
- Additional dates have been added for the Explorer Limited Cup. Elimination materials have been updated to now appear with the eliminated player instead of being obtained automatically.
Performance
- Fixed a bug that caused build to drop significantly in FPS, especially on high-end systems.

Weapons and objects
- Stealthy snowman.
- Added to Creative mode: Light Machine Gun, Silenced Submachine Gun, Revolver, Semi-Auto Marksman Rifle, Smoke Grenade, and Remote Explosives.
Save the World Mode
Like the last few weeks, we also have new content for Save the World mode. The Guardian's Will is the new sword coming to Fortnite as a reward this week.
On the other hand, we have Kassandra, a new heroine that can be unlocked in the event store for a limited time.

Missions and systems
- Frostnite Weekly Challenge Fourth: Frozen Chaos. Enemies get modifiers when taking damage. Concentrate your attacks for greater effectiveness. Survive for 30 minutes to get hold of the Medieval Sword. Survive for 30 minutes (three times) to earn the Week 4 Challenge Banner. Enemies are given a certain combination of mutators per wave: Haste, Enrage, Explosive Kill Blast, Frenzied Kill Blast, and Smoke Screens. Available January 24 at 01:00 CET.
Heroes
- Kassandra Lynx. Mythical variant of the swiftfoot subclass. Available in the event store from January 24 at 01:00 CET. Notice: Lynx Kassandra will be unique when the new hero gear is released.
Weapons and objects
- Will of the Guardian Sword. Reward for completing the Frostnite Week 4 Weekly Challenge. A large sword with high damage and moderate impact.
Sound
- Sound mixing has been improved at low health so that game sounds are not reduced as much.
- Updated sounds when equipping and unequipping Left and Right weapons.
- LURE physics and deployment sounds have been updated.
