Applications
Camera
The camera will allow the player to take pictures at any time during the game, both outside and inside the buildings. It has various functionalities such as the zoom or the different filters and frames that can be applied to the photo. It also allows players to look at the camera target or use emotions.
Miles Nook
The Nook Miles program is an achievement system where the player can do various challenges to earn Nook Miles. These Nook Miles can be exchanged for special items, Nook Mile tickets or other exclusive rewards through the Nook terminal at the neighborhood management office.
Capturepedia
The Capturepedia will show the player data of all the fish and critters that he has previously caught, such as the months in which they appear, the hours in which they are most frequent, as well as the specimens that have been donated to the museum will be marked as donated.
Creations
With this application, the player will be able to see their DIY projects, as well as the materials that are needed to make any object for which they have a recipe. It is useful to check at any time if the player has enough materials to make the object they want to create. Projects can be filtered by type or marked as favorites.
My designs
This Nookophone application allows the player to view and manage their designs, as well as create their own custom designs and share them with other inhabitants of the island. The app can be upgraded at the Neighborhood Management Office Nook Terminal for 800+ miles to be able to create professional designs and edit color palettes.
Map
As in the rest of the installments of the saga, in Animal Crossing: New Horizons the player has a map with which to guide himself around the island. The map shows where the most important locations and the homes of the island's inhabitants are located. By pressing , the player can show or hide the minimap.
Passport
All players participating in the settlement plan have a passport. This can be modified from the Nookófono, which allows you to change the photo, the comment and the nickname of the same. Unlike Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the player can take a passport photo without the need for a Photo Booth.
Local call
With this Nookophone option, the player will be able to invite up to three players who live on the same island to play at the same time. One of the players will play the role of the leader and the rest will be companions. The camera accompanies the leader, who has a yellow triangle icon above his head. In this game mode, only the leader can open his inventory. As a result, only the leader can buy or sell items in stores. The role of the leader can be quickly changed at any time so that other players can use their inventory without having to restart the game.
Rescue
The rescue service is used to transport the player to a location on the island when he is lost or stuck somewhere on the island. The player can choose between his house, the store, the square or the airfield to transport himself.
The service costs 100 miles from the Nook Miles program.
Public Works
The "Public Works" application allows players to create different types of roads (9 in total, 10 if we count the natural one), modify the river channel or raise and lower elevations. It is unlocked after the first Totakeke concert, which is held when the town reaches a 3-star rating.
