La perch (bass I black bass in English) is a common river fish. They are sometimes fished in fishing contests in Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go To The City. One theory about perch says that the perch in the games before Animal Crossing: Wild World is different from the one in Animal Crossing: Wild World and later, since in English it was simply called bass and later was called black bass. In Spanish, however, it has always been called perca. To top it off, they used to be priced at 200 berries and now it's 300 berries, so they might look like different fish, but they were actually the same.

Its shadow size will be like that of a marquee, and it can always be found. The largemouth bass, haro, largemouth bass, black bass or largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) is a freshwater fish of the order of the Perciformes and of the Centrarchidae family. The color of its green scales is very confused with black according to the reflection.
It is a very compact fish but the sides are more or less compressed. Greenish scales with dark spots. Its adult size is 30 to 50 cm. It is a tough and carnivorous fish; It is one of the most sporty species due to its combativeness, voracity and it can be fished by innumerable sport fishing techniques (spoon, artificial fish, fly, live fish, bait, etc).
Although in the United States it can reach 80cm, it is not the same subspecies as that introduced in Spain. It prefers calm waters of ponds or lagoons of thick aquatic vegetation, from where it stalks its prey, with clean and preferably warm waters.
Due to its colonizing potential and constituting a serious threat to native species, habitats or ecosystems, this species has been cataloged in the Spanish Catalog of Invasive Exotic Species, approved by Royal Decree 1628/2011, of November 14, being prohibited in Spain its introduction into the natural environment, possession, transport, traffic and trade, although its fishing or capture can be authorized within the elimination strategies.
