Each filtering bag red turnips they are a type of turnip exclusive to Animal Crossing: Wild World and City Folk. They are bought from Juana for a sum of 1,000 Berries once a week, every Sunday. However, some weeks Joan will not have red turnips and the player will not be able to buy them.
Red turnips start out as seeds that must be sown in the ground like a tree. Over time they will grow, but only if they are watered every day. If the player doesn't water it one day, the turnip will rot and won't sell for much money. However, in City Folk, if the player misses a day, they can water the withered turnip with a Silver Watering Can, which can bring the red turnips back to life.
Unlike other things on the ground, the player cannot move a red turnip in the traditional way. Instead, to remove the red turnip, they have to dig it up with a shovel.
A full-size red turnip sells for a maximum of 16,000 Berries, with a profit of 15,000. Tom Nook will buy the red turnips of different sizes for the following prices:

The player can continue to water red turnips for more than seven days, but will not get any additional growth or benefit from them.
