Repair wiring It is a common task in Among Us that appears on all four currently available maps.
Summary
Overview
Repairing wiring is done by connecting each colored wire from the left side of the display to the corresponding color on the right side. The colors on the left side are random, while the colors on the right side are always in the same order: red at the top, followed by blue, then yellow, and finally magenta. As of the v2020.10.22o update, the cables have also been equipped with symbols on their bases to add additional clarification and aid color blind players.

Three wiring panels must be attached to complete this task. In the background, behind the four colored cables, there are eleven cables for aesthetics. If while performing the task, one closes the tab and reopens it, the jumper cables will be placed in different locations.

Order of tasks
While the three panels are randomly selected, they always appear in a strict order that cannot be violated. This order is determined by the map. It should be noted that the panels are random for each player. Therefore, it is likely that two Crewmembers do not have the same set of panels.
Due to the specific order, there are several key observations that can help Crewmembers catch Imposters. Knowing the correct order as an Impostor can help credibly fake the task. When faking tasks, they should be faked in this order, and crewmates should be on the lookout for others breaking the order.
The Skeld
There are six Wire Repair locations in The Skeld, and 20 combinations of them are possible permutations.
Key observations:
- Repairing wiring never begins in Cafeteria or Security.
- Fixed wiring never ends in electrical or storage installations.
- If a player is assigned the panel in Electricity, it always comes first.
- If a player is assigned the panel in Security, it is always last.
- There is only one permutation that begins at Navigation.
- There is only one permutation that ends in Administration.

- Fixed wiring never ends in Warehouse or Aisle.
- If a player is assigned the panel in Warehouse, it always comes first.
- If a player is assigned the panel in the Lab, it is always the last.
- There is a single permutation that begins at Costume.
- There is only one permutation that ends in Costume.

Curiosities
- Repairing wiring is the only common task available across all four maps, including The Airship.
- Originally, Repair Wiring did not have symbols on the cables. However, in September 2020, Innersloth added symbols to improve cables to work better for color blind players. The change was originally in beta, but was pulled from beta in November 2020.
- In an earlier version of Among Us, the Fix Wiring task used to have four stages.
- The cables can be connected to the wrong cable, but must be connected to the correct cable to complete the task.
- Also, multiple cables can be connected to the same cable.
- For players with the task, it used to be possible to complete the Repair Wiring stage through the panel located at O2 in Polus through the wall, but this bug has been fixed.
