Resortera

La Resortera (also known as slingshot y/u honda) is the main weapon / utility that birds use to attack pigs. The player can pull the band off the slingshot / sling, and then release it to shoot the bird in any direction the player decides. The slingshot appears for the first time in Angry Birds, and in every game in the series after this, even in the spin-off: Bad Piggies. It does not appear in games like Angry Birds Transformers, Angry Birds Match, Angry Birds Epic, etc.

Frequently in several installments of the Angry Birds franchise, being its main use as a Power-Up to pass difficult levels. Originally released for use on the iPod Touch / iPhone this has spread to most of the franchise.

The player can do the following: Pull back on the slingshot strap and then release to shoot the bird in any direction the player wants. The player can change the direction and angle that the bird will launch at by simply moving the bird up or down. The player can also change the rate of fire. Pulling the bird back slightly to make a weak throw and farther back to make a strong throw (the latter recommended).

In Angry Birds Friends there are 6 types of slingshots which are:

Jingle Sling (Christmas Special)

This slingshot has the look of a Christmas tree, available at Christmas time alongside Christmas tournaments. Extra damage to decorations and Pigs, plus he throws some balls to help the bird destroy things. Although these have a little less range than the birds.

Wood Chipper

• This slingshot is made of wood, and when used, leaves will fall during a bird's flight. Extra damage to all types of Wood.

Stone Crusher

• This slingshot is made of stone, and when used, pieces of stone will fall during the flight of a bird. Extra damage to all types of Stone.

Glass Smasher

• This slingshot is made of glass, and when used, pieces of glass will fall during a bird's flight. Extra damage to all types of glass.

Golden Slingshot

• This slingshot is made of pure gold and is the only one that costs money in the real world, its price varies in the country. Extra damage to everything.

Wishbone (Especial Halloween)

• This slingshot is made of bones, and pieces of bone will fall off as it is used. Extra damage to everything.

Bouncy Sling

• This slingshot is made of pure resistant balloons, and when used, small balloons will fall, little extra damage to everything, the birds bounce much more than without this slingshot. Please note: this slingshot is obtained ONLY reaching the Golden League.

Diamond Sling

• This slingshot is made of pure diamond, and when used it will throw small pieces of diamonds under where the bird has passed, little extra damage to everything, gravity does not affect the birds. Please note: this slingshot is obtained ONLY reaching the Diamond League.

Curiosities

• The slingshot is a gift from the pigs that were given to them on Bird Island in the movie.
• Items dropped by birds on slingshots in Angry Birds Friends is similar to Jabba's launch in Angry Birds Star Wars II. Since it drops drool.
• The branch slingshot from Angry Birds Stella is very similar to the branches and trees of the Slingshot Forest.
• In Angry Birds Go! the slingshot has a ramp.
• Angry Birds Blast! is the only game in which the slingshot is used as a booster.
• Like TNT, the slingshot has many textures.
