Shooting Star (shield)

Shooting Star (シ ュ ー テ ィ ン グ ス タ ー Shūtingu Sutā ?, lit. "Shooting Star") is a shield that can be wielded by Goofy in Kingdom Hearts II. It can be purchased at the Moguri Shops in Twilight Town, Hollow Bastion, and the Olympus Coliseum. It is part of the set of weapons based on Yen Sid including Star Scout and Comet Staff. These weapons are decorated with moons and stars, and are the second group of weapons available to the group. Like Star Explorer, its name and design could refer to the worlds of the Kingdom Hearts Universe, which are represented in the night sky as stars.

Design

Shooting Star is true to its name, which is why it is shaped like a large five-pointed star. Its edges are thick and yellow in color with three circular pin screws at the bottom and two at the top corners. The front of the shield has fine, cyan edges, forming a five-pointed star with a circle inscribed on it. The points of the star are blue, while the circle is lilac in color and has a yellow square with concave edges in its center. In the center of the square is a thin white "X".
