Underground sinkhole (Dusty Divot, in English) was a place of Fortnite Battle Royale. It was located in the center of the map. The area had a museum, a cafeteria and a natural park. It was also the area that has undergone the most changes throughout all the seasons.

History

The area has undergone many changes, being the first one created on the game map. It had three naves that served as warehouses and was one of the most popular areas of the game. At the end of season 3 a meteorite fell in the area, destroying one of the original warehouses and one and a half, leaving the entire area ruined and with a large crater, where a scientific base was established to monitor the meteorite. In addition, superheroes and villains appeared, however, it was later revealed that these were simply actors. A kind of android came out of the meteorite: The Visitor, the true enemy of the season. Said visitor built a buggy making it take off near Ribera Repipi causing a temporary space-crack. After these events, the crater was gradually abandoned, filling with vegetation and flora. Finally, the remaining warehouses were rebuilt, creating a museum and cafeteria. This museum tells the history of this area throughout all the seasons of the Battle Royale, from the original Dusty Powder Keg, through the fall of the meteorite, to the natural park. In Season 10, Underground Socavón was removed from the map, being replaced by Dusty Powder Keg and the Factories.

Geography

Socavón Soterrado is made up of a crater caused by the meteorite, full of flora and vegetation. In the center of this crater there is an abandoned scientific base, covered with ivy and where the original meteorite was, there is currently a gigantic tree. In addition, there are many shield mushrooms in the surroundings.

Urbanism

Because the area is not even a city or town, it has few buildings.

Underground Tunnel was located near Dusty Powder Keg

The Warehouses, also called Dusty Powder Keg, were a complex of three warehouses, one blue, one gray, and one red. They were situated high up and surrounded by a wall. Near these was a truck, which was responsible for transporting the merchandise.

With the fall of the meteorite, the warehouses were destroyed.

Scientific Basis

The scientific base, currently abandoned, was a base established after the meteorite impact in the area. The Base consists of a central nave where the meteorite was located and other ships connected by corridors.
