The season 9 of Fortnite, and we have already found a lot of news in the patch 9.00. Along with the changes on the map (both the volcano and the appearance of the Neo Picados floors and the variations of Ciudad Comercio) come new skins, pets, cosmetics ... and a lot of challenges. Perhaps the most striking thing is the appearance of a new type of collectible element, exclusive to season 9, the fortbytes. But, what is it about?
What's new in Fortnite patch 9.00
Actually the Fortbytes (a pun between the name of the game and the memory unit) are a collection of 100 computer chips that will only appear for Battle Pass holders. And Epic Games has already confirmed that it is an exclusive element of the season, and that they will disappear at the end of this one.

Players must collect the fortbytes to unlock a mysterious image, as if it were a puzzle. When we have completed it, we will get a special reward, in addition to discovering the secrets of the season. The fortbytes will be required to unlock the weapon and backpack for two skins from the Season 9 Battle Pass.

The first day we can find 18 fortbytes scattered around the Fortnite map, and the additional ones will be unlocked throughout the season, at least one of them a day. To find out what new Fortbytes have appeared on the map, we can consult the challenges tab, in the game.
