Sora transforming into a Fusion Form for the first time

HR Forms of Fusion (ド ラ イ ヴ フ ォ ー ム Doraivu Fōmu?) Are special abilities that first appeared in Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. They are used to transform Sora into a more powerful form with the help of his companions Donald and Goofy. It premiered early in the game in the Mysterious Tower, when the three fairies give Sora a new outfit with these capabilities installed.

    Summary

    Description

A form of fusion is a special ability granted to Sora near the beginning of his adventure in Kingdom Hearts II, once a much-needed new wardrobe is granted. It allows Sora to transform into stronger forms by using Donald, Goofy, or both, on his team. These forms also allow Sora to use different attacks, more powerful and combos, double wielding to use keyblades, gliding, or skills that are not normally used can be used before. Additionally, Sora's support abilities are passed on to his forms.

Like Sora, fusion forms can level up as well, but unlike Sora (who can level up to level 99) Fusion forms can only level up to level 7. Each form requires a different method of leveling up. level, such as the Brave Form that requires a certain number of times that Sora must hit enemies in order to level up the form. Some of the abilities of the forms can also be used in Sora's normal state if the levels are high enough, such as the final form that allows Sora to glide through the air at higher levels. Activating any form of fusion causes Sora's HP and MP to be fully restored, which is very useful if the player is running out of these two.

Similar to Sora's fusions, Dark Mode changes Riku's clothes and grants him enhanced abilities and new attacks. However, it is only a temporary change, activated by filling a dark spot meter, and reversed by running the dark spots or being subject to a card break. For all intents and purposes, the Dark Mode functions are identical to the blend shapes, and the dark spot meter even resembles the Blend Indicators.

    Fusion Indicator

    Forms of Fusion

The fusion indicator, is located above the magic point meter, the limits of the Fusion Forms can be used infinitely, such as waiting for the magic to recharge. The fusion gauge is measured by the different levels that can be earned by playing against bosses or by performing certain events. In the original version of Kingdom Hearts II, seven is the maximum level that the fusion gauge can reach.

In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, however, the meter can reach a maximum of nine. There are several ways to fill the unit's meter. The most common way is to attack enemies, stage objects, and bosses (with the latter you fill the indicator faster than with the rest). You can also recharge by collecting orbs (which come in two sizes) that come from certain enemies and others drop items, or when attacked, while a certain ability is equipped.

When a Fusion Form is activated, the Fusion Gauge begins to deplete based on the level of the form the player uses. After the unit's meter is completely empty and used at all levels, Sora will return to his normal form, unless he is riding something resembling a skateboard. Using specific skills and combos on the forms will proceed to the Fusion Gauge to deplete faster than normal.

    Formas

There are six Fusion Forms in total. Five can be activated from the command menu, but the last one is random. The forms of unity are:

    Courageous form

    Main article: Courageous Form

Brave Form allows Sora to wield two Keyblades of the player's choice at the same time. It specializes in physical combat, but cannot cast spells, in contrast to Wise Form, it is useful when needed to dish out a large amount of damage from your attacks.

physical. His special ability is high jump, which can also be obtained for Sora in his normal state at higher levels. Sora is dressed in red clothing with a fleur-de-lis red cross symbol. It uses the power of Goofy and it is based on him. Sora's running speed is noticeably faster in this form. As mentioned, this experience increases with each successful hit to an enemy, making it the easiest way to level up. Sora obtains this form when he receives his new clothes from the fairies in the Tower of Mysteries.

    Shape Did You Know

Main article: Wise FormForms of Fusion

The Wise Form allows Sora to float through the ground like on a skateboard, and uses a Keyblade only to shoot enemies with magic bullets, but does not physically attack. It is a form of magic based, in contrast to Brave Form's physical combat, which is ideal for when you have to attack from long range. His special ability is swift execution, which is a quick running technique to move quickly through areas or dodge attacks. Sora is dressed in blue clothing with flame symbols on it. It uses Donald's energy and builds on him. This form gains experience each time a Heartless is destroyed. Obtained after Eternal River.

    Sum form

Main article: Sum formForms of Fusion

Sum form is a form based on Sora's old clothes, this form that is exclusive to Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. Use the abilities of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts Final Mix that do not appear in Kingdom Hearts II. His special ability is Somersault, a small forward flip that defends Sora from all attacks and reflects projectiles. Sora's clothing color scheme in this form changes to that of his original Kingdom Hearts costume. When activated, Donald and Goofy stay by Sora's side and do not disappear, making it especially useful in difficult battles. This form increases his experience each time you use any End Limit of the command. Obtained when Sora obtains Fiancee in Twilight Town. This is the only way Sora can activate alone.

    Master Form

Main article: Master Form Forms of Fusion

Master Form is a combination of both forms: Brave and Wise. Two Keyblades are used, one controlled by telekinesis and the other by hand. He specializes in magical and physical combat. His special ability is Aerial Dribble, a mid-air jump that blocks attacks (and reflects projectiles). Sora is dressed in yellow clothing with a cross motif. It is based on King Mickey and uses both parts. This form adds experience through the collection of Fusion Orbs. Each small orb is worth one experience, while each large sphere is worth 3 experience. Obtained in Hollow Hold, by speaking to King Mickey before the Battle of the 1000 Heartless and during the events of Paranoid Space.

    Final Form

Main article: Final FormForms of Fusion

In final form again Sora wields two Keyblades, this time through telekinesis. It is equally strong in strength and magic, and is considered the strongest among all forms of fusion. His special ability is Fly, which allows the user to fly briefly. Sora is dressed in silver clothing with the symbol of a crown. It is based on Roxas's fighting style (Final Mix) and uses both characters. This form gains experience each time a Nobody is destroyed, making it possibly more difficult to level up. It is obtained randomly after Sora fights Roxas in the Non-existent World, while the first appearance of the form is random, it can be accessed anytime after. However, there is a glitch where it can be obtained before the fight with Demyx continuously when entering any type of fusion and another way is in the Hades challenges until it randomly becomes the Final Form.

    Anti-Forma

    Main article: Anti-Form

Anti-Form is the only way Sora doesn't use his Keyblade. He specializes in fast attacks and many combos, but lacks the ability to cast spells, protection commands, HP recovery, or the use of reaction, which is sometimes necessary to end battles. Apparently, when it comes to this fusion, the possibility of it appearing is by function of the points against (a hidden counter, which increases with each fusion one point, except for the Anti and Final Forms). However, using the Final Form will reset this phenomenon and reduce the likelihood of it occurring.

It does not have any special abilities, it is the only way that cannot be activated

    Forms of Fusion

through the command menu, and Sora loses the ability to execute reaction commands, which can be especially troublesome when some enemies can only be defeated through them. In this form, Sora turns completely black with yellow eyes, as well as having an increase in dark mist from his body, and moves as a Shadow, Heartless, similar to the Anti-Sora boss from the first Kingdom Hearts. Use both parts and consume all Fusion points. This is the only form that cannot level up, and the only one that Sora cannot switch back from it at will, once this form is activated, Sora is trapped in it until the fusion meter runs out, until leaving the battlefield, or until the battle is over. It should also be noted that if Sora dies in this way, he dies as his normal state.

Anti-Forma's fighting can be considered a double-edged sword, while Sora is very fast, his attacks are much weaker, he takes more damage than normal when hit, and his movement and fighting style more savage. and less human, running around on all four "legs" and attacking with his hands as if they were claws. Many fans have speculated that this form exists due to Sora's brief transformation into a Heartless, and Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed: in essence, the Anti-Form is the closest to Sora coming to become a Heartless once again. It is also important to note that in Halloween Town, the pumpkin on Sora's face turns into the face of a Heartless Shadow, with two yellow eyes on it.

    Level up

Each Form needs certain conditions to increase its level and, in this way, enhance its attributes.

Here is a list of those conditions:

    • Brave Form: To level up this Form you have to hit the enemies, exactly the ones it puts you in: Menu -> Condition -> Brave -> NEXT. LEVEL.
    • Wise Form: To level up this Form you have to defeat Heartless, exactly the ones that puts you in: Menu -> Condition -> Wise -> SIG. LEVEL.
    • Master Form: For this you need to collect Fusion Orbs, the ones you need you put in: Menu -> Condition -> Master -> SIG. LEVEL.
    • Final Form: To level up this Form you have to defeat Nobodies, the amount appears in: Menu -> Condition -> Final -> NEXT. LEVEL.
    • Sum form (only in Final Mix): Level up when using the Limit command, the amount appears in: Menu -> Condition -> Sum -> NEXT. LEVEL.

    Curiosities

    • If Sora is in a Fusion Form before a scene, he will appear in the scene with his appearance in that same form (with the exception of the Anti-Form), even though the actions in the scene are not changed from no significant way. He will also have his Keyblade that he has equipped, as he normally would, and not two of these, as he would have to do when having a Fusion Form that uses two Keyblades. Also in the scenes, the companions who merge with Sora to perform the Form appear, although Sora appears with his appearance in it.
    • If Sora rides a Skateboard while in Fusion Form, he will not revert to normal form even when the "Drive" gauge is depleted.
    • In the room where Sora receives his new clothes, descriptions appear based on the Forms of Fusion that will be received later. These "predictions" can be seen by examining the costume mirrors above the room. Each of the five mirrors throughout the room describe the abilities of each of Sora's five Fusion Forms, including the Anti-Form. It should be noted that in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, an additional mirror is added for the Sum form.
    • The colors of the Fusion Forms are the same as the suit Sora wears in the first installment: Brave Form is red like pants, Wise Form is blue like belt and glove straps, Master Form is yellow like the shoes, the Final Form is white like the sleeves of the jacket and the Anti-Form is black like the torso of the jacket.
