    History

    Kingdom Hearts

Wakka is a resident of the Destiny Islands and a friend of Sora, Kairi, and Riku. He spends a lot of time with Tidus and Selphie, and treats them like a big brother would. He and Tidus were expressing their curiosity about the Secret Place, and were thinking of going to explore it. Like Selphie and Tidus, Wakka appears to Sora in the Descent to the Heart, in the Destiny Islands area. His question, "What do you want out of life?" it also helps determine the pace of leveling in the rest of the game. Sora can neither answer with A) see what no one has seen, B) to broaden my horizons, or C) to be strong. It can be fought while in Destiny Islands. He uses his blitz ball to attack like he did in Final Fantasy X (requiring the player to deflect the ball towards him), but this one lacks the bumps and spiral dash with the words "lightning ball" from the ball. original blitzbol. However, he is the only one of the Destiny Islands characters to fight in the same way as his original Final Fantasy character. After the destruction of the Destiny Islands, it is not known what became of him.

    Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

A memory-based version of Wakka appears in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories within the Destiny Islands simulation at Castle Oblivion. In the end credits of Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, Wakka is shown playing with Selphie and Tidus on a beach while Kairi faces off against "Small Island."

    Kingdom Hearts II

Wakka does not appear in Kingdom Hearts II, as does Tidus. Although the two are very briefly mentioned by Selphie when she is talking to Kairi at the beginning of the game, saying that they were "very busy with a match" (a reference to Tidus and Wakka's relationship with blitzbol in Final Fantasy X).

    Kingdom Hearts coded

Wakka makes his third appearance in Kingdom Hearts coded, this time as a Data version of himself, appearing in the Fate Islands data version, along with Tidus and Selphie's data. He appears in Destiny Islands talking to Sora.

    Appearance

Wakka in Kingdom Hearts closely resembles his incarnation in Final Fantasy X, but he is younger and has simpler clothing. Wakka retains her huge orange hair and bonnet, as well as the yellow baggy pants that close halfway down her legs. Each leg of these pants has a large, X-shaped strap shaped like blue spikes, possibly referencing Wakka's origin game, Final Fantasy X.

In Final Fantasy X, these "Xs" are found on Wakka's jacket, while the trouser legs sported three straps on each leg in the shape of a thin cross. Wakka wears a tank top similar to the original, although the jacket was mostly orange and black, in contrast to the pale yellow color of this tank top, with black lining. As in his original game, he wears sandals, although this Wakka's are green. She wears blue bracelets on each wrist, has brown eyes, and small earrings that are not present in her original design. Wakka is missing the Auroch symbol-shaped necklace he wore in Final Fantasy X, and wields a simpler version of his Blitz ball as a weapon.

    From

    Wakka

Wakka hails from Final Fantasy X and is twenty-three years old. He is a professional blitzbol player. Its name means "water" in Ainu. In addition to being one of Yuna's guardians and her childhood friend (in fact he sees her as a younger sister along with Lulu), he is also the captain of the Besaid Aurochs, a blitzball team that, before Tidus arrived, he hadn't won a single blitz cup for 23 years. He uses blitz balls as weapons in battle, becoming the only character who can effectively and reliably hit flying enemies, as well as being the only character capable of physically attacking from a distance. Wakka is somewhat religiously conservative, dependent on others and religious norms (Yevon's teachings) to make his decisions. He lost his younger brother Chappu to Sinh, an event from which he never recovered. A close sibling relationship forms between him and Tidus, partly fueled by his resemblance to Chappu, although Lulu constantly has to remind him that Tidus is not Chappu (she feels great pain for this, as she was Chappu's partner for years, and it was her death that made her colder than she already was). Wakka gives Tidus the "Brotherhood" weapon that becomes the character's most iconic from then on, and it belonged to Chappu (it was a gift from Wakka for joining the legion) although he never used it. Six months after the events of Final Fantasy X, he marries Lulu. In Final Fantasy X-2, he becomes a father to his baby, Vidinu, a name devised by Wakka. "Vidinu" translates to "future" in the Albhed language, and it is a statement by Wakka that he has left the teachings of Yevon, which were biased against the Albhed in an unjust and criminal way, he also names godmothers of the He drinks Rikku and Yuna, showing that he now has a strong bond with the Albhed as well as a debt of gratitude to them.

    Curiosities

    • Wakka was not going to appear in the first Kingdom Hearts, his place was going to be occupied by the character Irvine Kinneas from Final Fantasy VIII, and it is unknown why they did not include Irvine but Wakka.
