Tinny! é uma série de videogames de ação e aventura americana desenvolvida por JeremySoft e de propriedade da Universal Studios (2002 até o presente). A série de videogames foi lançada em 6 de julho de 1990. Tinny! é inspirado em Sonic the Hedgehog da Sega, Super Mario da Nintendo, Rayman da Ubisoft, Crash Bandicoot e Spyro da Activision, Mickey Mouse da Disney e Warner Bros. ' Looney Tunes e Collin the Speedy Boy. Além disso, é inspirado pelo Popeye the Sailor do King Features Syndicate e também pelo Huckleberry Hound de Hanna-Barbera.

Informação

O jogo segue um cachorro antropomórfico falante de 15 anos chamado Tinny, que pode correr usando super velocidade. Suas habilidades são spin dash, spin attack, drop dash, tackle attack, double kick, bite attack, doggy punch e ground pound. Tinny também é conhecido como o "Canino mais rápido do mundo". Ele pode salvar o mundo após seu inimigo, Roxie, de libertar os robôs.

História

Depois de lançar Avery the Warrior e ser influenciado pelo Super Mario Bros. da Nintendo em 1986, JeremySoft queria desenvolver um jogo com um mascote para a empresa. O fundador da JeremyWorks, Jeremy Carpenter, queria um personagem tão icônico como o Pernalonga e o Mickey Mouse.

JeremySoft desenvolveu ideias para personagens, um motor e mecânica de jogo. Tinny seria originalmente uma garota de cabelo castanho chamada "Katie" e pegaria e jogaria coisas nos inimigos, parecia promissor no início, mas era muito complexo para o hardware disponível. A equipe decidiu fazer do personagem principal um cachorro que pode rolar em uma bola, Katie foi retrabalhada para ser um cachorro quando menino e rebatizou o personagem principal, Tinny the Dog. Portanto, Tinny the Dog nasceu.

Esta série de jogos inspira-se em Sonic the Hedgehog da Sega, Super Mario da Nintendo, Rayman da Ubisoft e Crash Bandicoot e Spyro da Activision.
Algum tempo depois do lançamento de Sonic the Hedgehog, a Sega processou JeremySoft quando eles pensaram que JeremySoft roubou Sonic pela primeira vez, no entanto, essa empresa perdeu o processo e, como resultado, JeremySoft continuou produzindo Tinny! jogos.
