Angry Birds Space is the fourth game in the Angry Birds saga, this time taking place in space. In this game, each episode is a planet that includes new material or other content. It is available for most platforms; the best known are iOS, Android, PC and Mac.

Gameplay

The story begins as usual: The Angry Birds taking care of their eggs from any evil in this case the pigs. But that's when something strange happens: an ice bird falls from a wormhole. As the Angry Birds watch, a large metal claw falls from the sky and steals the Angry Birds' eggs and the Ice Bird's Eggsteroid.

Thus, the Angry Birds use their slingshot to enter the wormhole and enter space, changing their bodies to adapt to the new environment. They gain new designs and some new powers, all to chase pigs through the planets of space and retrieve their precious eggs.

Exclusive features

Angry Birds Space is the first game in its series to include a totally new kind of environment: space. At almost all levels, 2 zones can be differentiated: space, in which the birds will follow their path without being attracted to anything, and gravity fields, usually with a small planet in their center. In them, the birds are drawn to the center as they move forward.

All the Angry Birds birds that appear in this game undergo a transformation, that is, their appearance changes in some way. In this way, the Red is added a mask, Chuck turns purple, with a cape, and changes his ability a bit, etc.

Not all birds from the original game (Angry Birds) have been transported to Angry Birds Space, as their abilities require constant gravity, or Rovio is saving them for another time. That is the case with Hal, Stella and Matilda, among others.

2 Power-Ups of Angry Birds Friends are introduced in the game, one from the first moment, without being a Power-Up said in that way. This is the Sling Scope, which helps to see a little the path that the bird will follow before being launched and the other is Wingman, his ability is to create a field of gravity around his body attracting what is close to him.

Episodes

In Angry Birds Space there are 7 episodes, each shaped like a planet:

• Pig Bang, It's the First World, was published in the first version of the game. Includes 3 screens with 10 levels each plus 3 special levels. To be able to play all the other episodes it is necessary to complete this one before.
• Cold Cuts, the second world, was released in the first version of the game. Includes 3 screens with 10 levels each plus 3 special levels.
• Fry Me to the Moon, the third world, was released in the second update of the game. Includes 1 screen with 10 levels plus 1 special level.
• Utopia, the fourth world, was released in the third update of the game. Includes 3 screens with 10 levels each plus 3 special levels. In the fourth update, the second and third worlds were added. In this world Bubbles makes his debut in space.
• Red Planet, the fifth world, was released in the fifth update of the game. Includes 3 screens with 10 levels each plus 3 special levels. This world was created inspired by the landing of the controlled vehicle Curiosity, the NASA spacecraft that was going to Mars.
• Pig Dipper, the sixth world, was released in the sixth update of the game. Includes 3 screens with 10 levels each plus 3 special levels. Here a new element is added: water, and Power-Ups.
• Cosmic Crystals - Includes 30 levels and three specials adding a new pig and crystal planets 
• Beak Impact The biggest update that the application has received so far, incorporating 40 new levels, which are divided into two parts.

• Red gets a new mask; his ability is still none.

Materials

• Stone: It is one of the hardest and is very difficult to destroy, it can be destroyed easier by Bomb.
• Glass: It is the weakest of the materials but it absorbs the blows a lot, the Blues can destroy it easier.
• Wood:It is the main material of the fortresses and is easy to destroy, much better when it is with Chuck.
• Iron: It is weaker than glass but it does not appear to be and any bird can destroy it, this material is unique in this version of the game.
• Meteorite: These are floating through the air, and can have various variations, such as frozen, burning, corn kernels (from the Utopia episode), or toxic, etc.
• Atmosphere: It is an indestructible invisible material around the environment where the birds are attracted to the environment ball.
• Bubble: It helps pigs to breathe outside of the gravity field and they can occupy antennas that when destroying them give you extra points. From Red Planet the bubbles are reinforced with a layer of metal.
• Gelatine: This material is indestructible, but it is where the birds bounce, it is red.
• Water: Appears in Pig Dipper, modifies the original trajectory of the thrown bird.
• Cosmic Crystal: It appears in Cosmic Crystals, they are planets that when destroyed by gravity turns into a wave.

Curiosities

• Bubbles modifies his ability a bit: in Angry Birds, when he started to deflate he kept doing damage to materials; not in this game.
• Frosh, if it explodes in water, it turns into an ice meteorite.
• Can pigs breathe underwater? Turns out yes. In the Angry Birds Seasons episode Piglantis, if a pig spends a lot of time underwater, it dies. This is not the case in this game.
• Lava meteors turn to stone in the water.
• There was a poster featuring a skunk as a possible new character, but it was later found to be an April Fool's day joke from the creators.
• In this game the sounds that the birds make change.
• The only birds that don't appear are Matilda, Hal, and Stella.

Angry Birds Toons

Angry Birds Space received the same update as all its other sister games, in which it offered a single button to access a series of cartoons, Angry Birds Toons, created by Rovio, in which the birds have adventures with each other and with the other pigs.
