Ansem was plunged into fury and hatred, until he decided to take revenge when he found Riku, who, like him, was fighting against the darkness within. He adopted the name DiZ (Darkness in Zero) while in the World of Nothingness. During his work with Riku, in which they created a huge machine that would manipulate time and undo the actions of Organization XIII, something made him change, because his feelings of hatred were slowly replaced by others, since when he saw the sacrifice of Riku, plunging into darkness to help Sora, realized that hate could not be lived with, and that, as Master Eraqus maintained, he should not give in to the slightest bit of evil, as it would engulf the light.

When he considered his actions, he regretted his earlier wishes for revenge, as hatred blinded him, devouring the true nature of the heart. Ansem is also a great friend of King Mickey, since he always addresses him as "My Friend" or "Old Friend". They met when Mickey appeared in the original world of Ansem while he was making his reports, after discovering the door of the heart of his world and the gummi pieces that rained when connecting his with the rest of the worlds, because Ansem had created Heartless in his basement.

Finally he is taken to the world of darkness when the machine he created by being with Xemnas and Riku explodes, under the name of DiZ, and confesses his thoughts about them, Riku thanks him for teaching him the meaning of friendship, and for keeping him away from friendship. darkness, and Terranort's Nobody Xemnas, who will never achieve anything, not even with a heart.

Appearance

Ansem The Wise, appears mostly as DiZ, his suit has a type of machinery on his chest, surrounded by a yellow square, and then he is made up of red and black robes. He also has bandages, as if he were burned, and only his left eye and his mouth can be seen, it should be noted that when these bandages are removed, ashes are detached from them, and his face changes from appearing red and wrinkled, to the true appearance of Ansem, this one follows the whole game with the same clothes, his hair, covers part of the robes.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, he dresses just like the scientists who study with him, in a medical gown closed with a zipper but open at the bottom and top, which covers a white shirt with a purple tie. He also wears black pants similar to those of Organization XIII and shoes of the same color, he also adds to his clothing a red scarf that falls on his back and also on his chest.

Curiosities

Ansem used to wear a red, cloth scarf very similar to the outfit he wears as DiZ.
The anagram of Ansem's name could be "Names" which means "Names" in Spanish, this could be because his name is used by several people such as Riku, Xehanort, Xehanort's Heartless and Xenmas, which would be an anagram of Ansem that has an X included in the name.
This character has yellow eyes in Kingdom Hearts II, but red in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (this may be because the darkness is reflected with the color yellow in the games, and he admitted that hatred led him to darkness).
It has a certain resemblance to Luxord.
