Apex Legends updates its meta: Wingman and Peacekeeper are no longer so powerful

Apex Legends has received the first update related to the meta, which is now available on all platforms, and Respawn He has given us all the details on Reddit. There is also information about some settings that will come along with the Season 2017 of the game. But let no one get too excited: for now the studio has not offered information on the battle pass or the first new legend to arrive (according to the leaks, Octane).

What this patch does is slightly modify the stats of a couple of weapons. We talk about the Wingman and the Peacekeeper, two of the most powerful of Apex Legends, which on this occasion have undergone a downward adjustment to be as follows:

    Wingman

    • The rate of fire has dropped from 3,1 rounds per second to 2,6 rounds per second.
    • The damage multiplier to the head when the Wingman has the Skullpiercer attached drops from 2,5 to 2,25.
    • Base spread when shooting from the hip increases and the rate at which it contracts is decreased.

    Peacekeeper

The rate of fire with the Shotgun Bolt accessory attached has been reduced as follows:

    • If the accessory is Level 1, it drops from 10% to 7,5%
    • If the accessory is Level 2, it drops from 20% to 13%
    • If the accessory is Level 3, it drops from 25% to 16%

What is achieved with this setting is that the player is exposed for a little longer after missing the shot.

In addition to this, Wingman and Peacekeeper availability has been reduced to make it more difficult to get hold of them. In contrast, the availability of both energy weapons and energy ammunition, which until now was very low, has increased.

If anyone is wondering why the Mozambique to make it more palatable, the response of Respawn is that, on the one hand, they do not want all the memes that it is giving to disappear (if you find one and do not mark it for your colleagues, you are missing one of the main jokes around it), and on the other they confirm that more They will review it later along with the P2020. They are two weapons of the "better than nothing" type for the first minutes of the game and that invite you to keep looking to get something better.

Season 1 will arrive with adjustments to the hitboxes of three legends

One of the recurring conversations around Apex Legends it has to do with the hitboxes of the characters. That is, the areas of their bodies where the shots hit. In this sense, both Pathfinder and Caustic and Gibraltar will see their hitboxes reduced and optimized to fit their models. Currently these characters are below the other five in use and power in large part due to hitboxes that make them much easier to hit targets.

In addition to this, the first season of Apex Legends will include the following balance adjustments:

    Caustic

    • Trap cooldown will drop from 30 seconds to 25 seconds.
    • Trap radius and proximity radius will be expanded by 10%
    • The one second delay that now exists before the Neox gas begins to deal damage to enemies will be removed.

    And for other characters:

    • Pathfinder: the number of beacons spread across the map will be increased from 10 to 12.
    • Lifeline- The small chance that aid packs will bring level 4 body armor or helmet will be removed.
    • Wraith: The cooldown of his Into the Void ability will be increased from 20 to 25 seconds.
    • Bangalore: The speed bonus of his passive ability will be reduced from the current 40% to 30%.

For now there is no exact date on the arrival of Season 1 or the battle pass to Apex Legends, but it will be this same month of March.
