The artworks include collectible pieces that can be donated to the museum and that have appeared since the first game in the series. Until Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go To The City only paintings were part of this group, but from Animal Crossing: New Leaf statues are added. As a curiosity, none of the pictures or statues that appear in the games has his real name.

The works of art are sold every week in the Ladino Shop and occasionally in Nook Stores or Tendo and Nendo's Shop depending on the game. The paintings sold by Ladino may be false and, therefore, not accepted in the museum.

In the games before New Leaf it was not possible to differentiate a true painting from a false one, but from this the false paintings (and also the statues) have physical characteristics that allow them to differentiate the originals. While some pictures are always true, all statues may be false.

To identify the false works, you can find the specific description in their respective article.

    Summary

    Obtaining

Ladino sells them, each week a different one, and if you are very lucky, you can find one such as Italian Portrait (La Gioconda or Mona Lisa) as a star item at HiperNook or Nook's. But you have to be careful with the ones that Ladino sells, since some turn out to be false and will not accept it in the Museum. It should be said that for the fake paintings Nook will not give you a single berry for them. They can also be achieved as a result of shaking the Trees, although this is highly unlikely. Each day there will be two objects hidden inside the leaf-shaped trees, and if you are lucky enough to shake one of them will fall. That sheet will be any random object, and it could be a painting.

    Donate

Talk to Socrates and tell him Donation! He will tell you if it is authentic or not, if it is not, Socrates will begin to say that it is an offense to bring fake paintings to a museum and, if the painting is not a fake, he will tell you. will remain. In AC: WW, Sisebuto gives you 100 berries for each counterfeit if you have taken out their counterfeit insurance.
