La Season 2017, Also known as Season X, or also known as Out of time, is the tenth edition of such content in Fortnite. It is an update for Fortnite: Battle Royale that was released on August 1, 2019. The theme of the season revolves around Time. The Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks.

History

The story continues from the story that began in season 7. In season 8, Polar Peak began to crack due to the impact of the volcano on it. In Season 9, we saw an eye of a monster appear inside it. But during downtime for an upgrade, the monster emerged from Polar Peak, removing its main attraction, the castle, leaving footprints, and even destroying a few houses as it swam around the island. A robot (later named Doggus) was then built at the Pressure Plant prior to the end-of-season event that was unveiled by certain holographic public service announcements and the countdown on top of the sky platforms. Not much of the event is relevant to this season, except, at one point, Doggus opens the Raft Booty vault and takes an Orb for more power. The Orb then begins to destabilize for the remaining time of Season 9. According to the Season 10 trailer, only Jonesy experiences the sphere explosion. This witness led Jonesy to a recap of the story in its entirety, finding Fishstick rowing a boat, the Skull Squad skin, as well as the butterfly hitting Kevin's bucket. He then comes across Drift from Season 6, a Monster Team sticker, Durrr Burger, and finally Peely, who betrays him after the milkshake incident. Right after that, Jonesy returns to the island. Jonesy appeared near Dusty Tinderbox that had been destroyed in seasons 3 and 4 and a meteor was approaching there. But this time, the meteor was frozen for the sake of the season and exploring what's inside (first seen in the T10 / X Battle Pass trailer). Some places from season 9 are still there because the meteor came from the sphere (unlike the rumors that we will return to any of the OG seasons). Season 10 / X officially began at this point.

Map changes

Some changes to the map were the return of Dusty Powder Keg, and the removal of the main Slipstreams and also the removal of all platforms from Heaven. The Slipstreams around the Colosal Mall and Neopicados still exist.
