I thought I had a slight fever from being in love, but it's gotten worse...
    ― Beardo, New Leaf

Beardo (ベアード, Beādo?) is a smug bear villager in the Animal Crossing series. His Japanese name comes from the type of facial hair, and could also be a pun on the word bear (Beard). He has the education hobby.

He appears on the cover of K.K. Tango.

    Beardo in New Leaf

Beardo is a turquoise bear with a brown mustache. His inner ears are dark pink, and his nose is yellow. He has white paws and has fluffy brown fur on his belly. He has small, oval-shaped eyes, with three eyelashes underneath each eye, and brown eyebrows. Contradicting his name, he does not have a beard, but does have mutton chops (worth noting, however, is that the Japanese word for "beard" is also the word for "mustache"). His initial shirt is the Detective's Outfit, which was changed to the Tweed Jacket in New Horizons.

    Personality

Smug villagers are very polite, kind, and gentleman-like. As a smug villager, Beardo will get along easily with other villagers. Smug villagers get along well with most villagers, their personality appearing to be a mix of the other personality types. Smug villagers will stroke their egos from time to time, going on about how cool they are.

Generally, Beardo will get along with lazy, normal, snooty and peppy villagers, and may conflict with cranky villagers.

    House

In New Leaf, Beardo has K.K. Sonata playing on his retro stereo. He has a coat hanger, rococo sofa, rococo table, rococo wardrobe, and rococo shelf.

In New Horizons, Beardo's house is white with brown trim, a blue basic door, and a purple tile roof. The interior has the blue-crown wall and the simple purple flooring. He has a brown double sofa, a brown antique mini table, a brown antique clock, a brown antique console table, a red wood den desk, a black den chair, a document stack, a black iron hanger stand, a black cordless phone, and a phonograph.
