La Betunio Shoe Store is a store introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It is directed by Betunio, the City's former shoe shine in Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go to the City. It is located to the right of the Handy Sisters.

Exterior

Outside it is an entirely yellow building except for the front, where it is brown and has two windows in which some shoes are displayed. Above the door there is a green awning to protect from the sun and on the outside of this two spotlights. Above the awning there is a shoe-shaped sign that says "BETUNIO SHOES" and behind this another sock-shaped sign. Hanging from the building to the right there is a poster that has a shoe with a skunk's tail drawn (referring to Betunio) that sometimes moves with the wind.

The interior has yellow walls, with a window at each end and a stone-tiled floor. It has 2 wooden counters where it exhibits its products. Next to one of the counters is a red carpet. There is also on the wall a shelf with shoe boxes of different colors and a table with a drawer where there are black shoe boxes. Finally, in the lower left corner is a plant.

Unlock

To unlock it, the player must spend 8.000 Berries on the Handy Sisters and 10 days must have passed since their village was created. Once the requirements are met, your construction will begin automatically. It will take 3 days to finish.
