    Personality[]

Due to his past in the Homelands, Bigby has a hard time relating to others, often isolating himself from everyone. This attitude complicates his job as a curator, as it makes him seem indifferent to the fables he must serve and protect. He is not afraid to use brute force during confrontations, which causes people to fear him. However, he does have a compassionate side, such as protecting Faith from the Lumberjack and being deeply hurt by Snow's supposed death. He also expresses his desire to protect the people of Fabletown, but feels incapable due to his personality and his past.

The player can determine many of Bigby's aspects, he can be peaceful and kind, or he can be fired and violent. In many cases, the character has the option of hitting or even killing multiple characters. Something that the player cannot change is Bigby's constant insults and his impatience in certain situations. Few of the characters that Bigby is kind to are: Faith, Nerissa, Flycatcher, Vivian and TJ.

Bigby has feelings for Snow White, first mentioned in his conversation with Colin. Throughout the investigation, Bigby and Snow grow closer and he expresses his feelings to protect her at all costs and fear for her safety. Bigby's decisions, peaceful or violent, will determine what Snow thinks of him.

Bigby proves that he is very strong and tough in combat. In some cases, it changes shape to gain more strength. Another characteristic of Bigby is that he is very resistant to lead bullets, but due to his werewolf status, silver bullets do him enormous damage.

In those days the great Wolf hunted armies of men and goblins in Mirkwood. These invading forces drove the great beast out of the quarry, and to make matters worse, they were all corrupt - hardly a suitable replacement. The great Wolf wiped out those armies, destroying their fields, devouring their night watchmen, and disrupting their supply carriages. His private war against a distant adversary even led him to refrain from devouring the enslaved goblins, beginning to drive him to their savagery. One day, he broke the line of a slave carriage which was holding a captive woman whose hair was dark as night and her skin was white as winter. It was enough for this woman to know that the sword had taken a dead slave from her was no match for the giant Wolf, and she was brave enough to place the chain on his tooth and thus be able to free herself. He released her, and it would be years until they meet in the human world again.

Long ago in Homelands, the North Wind fell in love with a gleaming white she-wolf. Taking canine form, he collated her and was by her side for two seasons. Anyway, the wind by nature must change direction and the North's temperament took him to his winter castle. The wolf is left heartbroken, and after her lover left her she gave birth to a litter of cubs, including one that would become the legend of the Great Wolf. Watching his mother die of sadness and her unrequited love, young Bigby Wolf swore vengeance to the wayward North Wind. Seven times the beast made its way to the Great Castle, but it was no match for its father's elemental strength. Having failed to his revenge, he vowed to think no more of his deceased mother and his disgusting father. However, buried hatred is rarely forgotten.

Bigby's true form is that of a giant wolf almost ten feet tall. In addition to his iconic "huff and puff" power, he also inherited other abilities from his father, The North Wind. For example, Bigby is able to hold his breath for an unusually long time, making it almost impossible for him to drown.

After fleeing the Homelands, Bigby Wolf spent many years roaming Europe. With a rapidly developing colony of fables, Snow White and Feathertop found the Wolf and offered him passage to Fabletown. He agreed, and Snow cut him with a werewolf knife to give him the power to change into human form whenever he wanted. Bigby became the commissioner of Fabletown under the administration of King Cole, but due to his violent past, many fables did not trust him and he was forbidden to set foot on the Farm. These days he is forcing himself to redeem himself in the eyes of the community.
