Etymology
- Its English name, Saharah, derives from the Sahara desert of Africa. Just like Savannah is often spelled Savanna, her name sometimes misses the final 'h' in Neighbors' conversations.
- Its Spanish name, Alcatifa, means "carpet" in Portuguese.

Curiosities
- According to grumpy neighbors in City Folk, his accent is fake. They claim that she used to do live comedy at the Theater and had no accent.
