    configurations

configurations it's a UX item and a section in the main menu accessed by clicking the gear under how to play and to the left of ads. Settings also appear in the upper left corner of the screen within the lobby and during gameplay. Change certain aspects of the game, such as the controls and the sound volume.

    Overview

The settings interface displays various game settings that the player can modify, such as interface language and controls. The available settings are divided into two different tabs: "general" and "data".

In the "general" tab, players can change their controls. On mobile devices, the available options are "touch" and "joystick", while on PC, the available options are "keyboard" and "keyboard + mouse". In the Nintendo Switch edition, the controls cannot be customized. Selecting "joystick" on the mobile unlocks an additional option to change the size of the joystick. The volume of sound effects and background music can be adjusted with sliders below the controls on all systems. Below the volume sliders is a "censor chat" button, which toggles a censored chat. If enabled, certain words and phrases will be censored in chat with asterisks, but if disabled it simply has no effect.

The "data" tab is only accessible when viewing the settings in the main menu. Below it, the player's language can be set, and a "privacy policy" button is displayed below, which directs the player to Innersloth's Privacy Policy on their website. However, the language menu only affects the interface. Below is a list of all the available languages.

    Curiosities

    • In the Nintendo Switch edition, the "censor chat" setting is only available in the main menu, and not in the lobby or during gameplay. Most likely it is a mistake or an oversight by the developers.
    • If a player reduces the resolution and then returns it to normal, they can see some parts of the left side in full lights.
    • If players open the settings menu during a game and while walking, they will automatically move until they hit a wall. Presumably this is also a mistake.
