    • Crewman A Crewman as a ghost.
    1/2

When an Impostor kills a Crewman, his body falls to the ground, split in half with a bone sticking out, and the Crewman turns into a ghost, appearing alongside his body. In this state, a Crewman can move freely through walls and can complete tasks to help the Crewman win. Ghosts can communicate at all times via chat, but their messages are only visible to other ghosts. They also cannot call emergency meetings or resolve Tampers. Ghosts are not visible to players who are still alive.

    Curiosities

    • A curious case occurs when a Crewmember is killed precisely at the same time a body is reported or an emergency meeting is called. When the emergency meeting is over, your body will appear near the emergency button, possibly leading to another meeting.
    • On the back of the Crewmember, there is a "backpack" that has no clear use. While some believe their packages are for oxygen, it doesn't appear to be the case because Oxygen Depleted Sabotage makes The Imposters win. It is also possible that due to a lack of adequate weapons, the Crewmembers donned their spacesuits and backpacks as a form of protection against threats rather than surviving in space.
    • When killed, Crewmembers show no blood or internal organs in their kill animations, although other players will see some blood draining from the corpse of the eliminated Crewman. The corpse consists of a large bone within a hollow space or a jelly-like substance that is darker than the player's color.
    • There is a pet in the game called "Mini Crewman". It is unknown if this pet is a child of the Crewmen species, an artificial life form made in its image, or an android.

The concepts for the design of the Crewman.

    • It didn't take long to create the Crewman design. The only other concepts were a version without a backpack, one that looked like the Mini Crewman and one that was shaped like a star.
    • The species of the Crewmembers is unknown. While at first glance they appear to be caricatured humans in almost featureless colored spacesuits, the scan in the Medical Wing indicates that the Crewmembers are only three feet six inches (about one meter) tall, much shorter than the adult human. average. However, like humans, they need oxygen to survive.
      • Many official Twitter posts from the developers of Among Us, as well as details of the game, refute that the Crewmembers are human.
      • His hands are also not visible when not in use and only appear in certain scenarios. They also lack arms, and their hands appear suspended in midair and can even appear and disappear at will.
    • When moving, all Crewmen and Imposters will have a "squinted" viewing visor.
    • At a height of 3 '6 "and a weight of 92 pounds, all Crew Members (except Strong Green) have a BMI of 36,7. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, this BMI equals obesity class 2 in humans, although the extra weight could be the spacesuit or just the healthy weight of the Crewmen species.
      • Strong Green is also 3 '6 "tall but weighs 132 pounds, which gives them a BMI of 52.6 and equates to Class 3 obesity in humans.
    • Originally, in the beta version, the viewfinder would not be a sky blue color. It would be the same color as the suit.
    • Several gaming websites criticize the role of Crewmate, one of the "Rock, Paper, Shotgun", as Craig Pearson considered this role "exhausting".
    • A Crewman's skeletal anatomy is made up of a single bone shaped like a femur, according to the Among Us developers' Twitter account.

    • Donuts and pizza slices can be found in different locations and maps, and The Airship introduces the Make Burger task, which implies that Crewmates eat food of many varieties. However, in a tweet from the Among Us developers, a short GIF shows that the Crewmembers do not use their mouths to eat, so the question of how the Crewmembers actually eat is deliberately unclear.
    • Another tweet from the Among Us developers on Twitter says that Crewmates drink by osmosis.
      • Several beverages that Crewmembers drink are coffee and water as seen in Office at Polus, soda and milk as seen in Buy Drink at MIRA HQ, soup as seen in Kitchen at The Airship, and juice as seen in Among Us.
    • A vending machine at the Cafeteria at MIRA HQ shows that one of the Crewmembers' hobbies is sailing. Also, various appliances in Polus show that another hobby is watching movies.
    • The language spoken by the Crewmembers is unknown, but multiple inscriptions in English are found on the maps.
    • It has not been confirmed by Innersloth what the Crewmembers look like without their spacesuits, or whether the spacesuits are part of their body or not.
