Last night at the Microsoft conference they surprised us by showing a new trailer with cinematics of Cyberpunk 2077, which brought the great surprise of the actor's appearance Keanu Reeves as a character, in addition to his release date: the 16 of April of 2019.
A few days ago we knew that the presentation of the Cyberpunk 2077 demo will not be streamed or recorded, something that has not liked anything to all those who are eagerly waiting to know more about the next title of CD Projekt RED. And the company itself has just issued a statement arguing this controversial decision.
According to the company, this decision was made to further promote its title and increase interest in the next video game event, Gamescom 2019. CD Projekt RED stated: "The reason is that we want to make the most of the months of work we have put into in the demo and the first images of the demo that we will see will be at Gamescom. "
"Releasing screenshots from the Cyberpunk 2077 demo right away would make subsequent presentations of the game meaningless and significantly limit our ability to create hype." Basically, CD Projekt RED confirmed what many of us suspected; that this was done for marketing reasons and nothing more.

At least they have had the honesty to explain it like that. "Why do we need to create hype? To further interest future CP2077 players. Looks like we'll have to wait until Gamescom 2019 to be able to see the demo of Cyberpunk 2077 in motion. We remember that this video game fair will take place between on August 21 and 24.
