Etymology

Its English and Japanese name, Maple, derives from the Maple tree which is widely used to make syrup.
Its Spanish name, Dulce, probably comes from the phrase, "sweet like honey."

Dulce is a brown bear with a beige muzzle and legs, has a pale red blush (color of maple syrup). Dulce has a black nose and small, black, shiny eyes. In Dōbutsu no Mori, he has a red patch on the back of his head. His starting outfit is a citrus t-shirt, from Animal Crossing: New Leaf, he wears a gold ride t-shirt. When it rains, use a petal umbrella. It has a certain physical resemblance to Hanalulu, another normal bear.

Personality

Dulce has a Normal personality, so she will have a kind, affectionate and calm character, Dulce enjoys common hobbies, such as; fishing and catching critters, usually to stay active. Dulce will frequently invite the Player to her home, where she will express her concerns for hygiene and cleanliness. Dulce will be easily disappointed or offended by other neighbors, particularly lazy neighbors who easily get distracted in their conversations and grumpy neighbors who have a rude and irritable nature. She will get along well with other normal and cheerful neighbors, also get along with snobbish and snooty neighbors, who enjoy Dulce's good-natured personality, often complementing them.

Home

In Animal Crossing, Dulce has some plants, a large collection of bears, and some nananoids. On her stereo, she plays Tota-nana. In Dōbutsu no Mori she has the same house as in Animal Crossing, with different music which is I love you, which she continues to play in future games. In City Folk and Wild World, you have some items from the Rustic Collection and a sewing machine.

At New Leaf, you have various pieces of furniture from the classic series, including the bed, table, coffee table, and desk. She also has a piano and a collection of bears.
