    Electric giant

Electric giant is a Clash Royale epic rarity card that can be obtained from the Electrovalle arena (Arena 11).

    Castles and Fortresses

    • You can easily defeat the "swarm" type troops (armies, various troops together).
    • A misplaced Inferno Dragon and Inferno Tower have no effect.

    Weaknesses

    • Units that deal high damage can easily be defeated.

    Strategy

    • Like the Golem it should rarely be played on elixir by one, due to the high elixir cost (8) one must commit to use. Placing him in the back without a sufficient lead or unable to get around the opponent's counterattacks will often give the opponent momentum, through a powerful push in the opposite lane or a positive exchange of elixir on his defense.
    • The Electric Giant is still viable as a punishment card despite its low movement speed. If the opponent makes his own high cost investment early on, the Electric Giant will not only threaten to take his entire tower alone, but his stun radius prevents the opponent from using swarms on him, which is one of the only ways in that a player can do it cheaply. Deals heavy damage per second after making a large investment.
    • The Inferno Tower and Inferno Dragon can defeat the Electric Giant if placed correctly. The Inferno Dragon should be placed as far to the side as possible, in a position that the Electric Giant will not walk towards (i.e. not between him and a defensive building). The Inferno Tower can be placed as usual against units targeting buildings; 4 tokens from the river and 3 tokens from the tower of the defending princess. However, these workarounds are not foolproof. The opponent can use a giant snowball or tornado to force the Infernal Dragon and other units into the stun radius, and they can use Shock or distract the Inferno Tower with swarms to give their Electric Giant more time to reach and stun it. .
    • If the opponent carries Tornado to draw units into the Lightning Giant's stun radius, the player can deploy their counter units further back and near the King's Tower, making it difficult for the opponent to roll them up safely. If the opponent takes a wrong step, they can activate the player's King's Tower.
    • Angry troops within the Lightning Giant's radius in an attempt to destroy it faster is counterproductive due to the fact that its reflected damage does not have a set speed or hit limit. This means that troops attacking him faster will also be destroyed more quickly, resulting in a waste of elixir used to enrage them. The same concept applies to slow effects; They will not slow the Electric Giant's stun attacks. However, it is more beneficial than using Fury, as the Electric Giant will still move slower, giving the player's defenders more time to prevent it from reaching their tower.
    • Other Electric Giant counters that end up being counterproductive are the Hunter and the Woodcutter. The hunter will take a hit for every bullet that hits the Electric Giant when placed nearby, meaning they will die immediately after a point-blank blast. Placing it out of radius to the side is ineffective, as it will deal much less damage per second. The Lumberjack's high damage per second is hampered by the fact that he attacks quickly with less damage per attack, so he will often die in the process of defending the Electric Giant.
    • Although the Electric Giant may appear to stun troops at the same time as his attack connects, the attacker's hit will take precedence over the stun. This means that it will not reset the Prince's or Dark Prince's charge attacks before they hit it.

    Counterstrategy

    • The Mini PEKKA and PEKKA are fantastic Electric Giant counters, as they both attack slowly and deal heavy damage per hit. They deal enough damage per second to defeat him without much to no damage to the tower, and both have enough health to survive the Shock effect and possibly counterattack, all for a positive exchange of elixir.
    • Despite easily eliminating swarms, the Barbarians are an acceptable counter, due to their (relatively) high health, defeating it with minor damage to the Tower of Crowns and remaining alive. Also, despite being eliminated in less than two seconds, the Skeleton Army is going to take a little less than a third of his health, for 3 elixir.

    History

The information in this section has been obtained from Clash Royale weba page, the Clash Royale community in English.
    • Before the release of the Electric Giant, Supercell changed its description. He used to say, "A huge chunk of man and metal. Electrifies nearby enemies when attacked."
    • 5 October 2020: Start the challenge titled Electric Giant Choice Challenge, where you could get the Electric Giant before it was available.
    • October 14, 2020: A maintenance pause increased Electric Giant's health points by 12.5%.
    • November 2 from 2020: The Electric Giant is now available in chests.
    • November 18, 2020: A balance change caused the reflected damage to scale with its level. Some interactions with reflected damage were also changed; Hunter's bullets no longer count as individual attacks. Previously if the Hunter closely attacked the Electric Giant, the Hunter would be defeated by a single hit for the reflected damage.
