Epic Games is trolling Fortnite dataminers with false information

It is not strange to know, with a great margin of time, some of the additions that will land in the popular game. Thanks to the weekly update archives, you can find out a lot of details about what is to come in Fortnite.

There are thousands of accounts specialized in stealing important data from game files. These dataminers have revealed a lot of relevant information in the past and it has already become clear that, if there is something in the game, it is very possible that it will arrive sooner rather than later.

However, that is the trend that has existed until now. Everything could change as Epic Games would be trying to solve its problem with the leaks in a very special way: trolling the dataminers themselves.

How? The developer would have started dumping fake files to mislead leakers that have always surrounded Fortnite every season. As reported by FNBRUnreleased on Twitter, these would be taking place specifically in terms of crossovers.

Was told a year ago by someone at Epic that they would start trolling dataminers. This is what he was talking about.

All this has become known after having found files in the game that indicated the presence of a possible collaboration with Family Guy. So now we can no longer be so sure about what will leak in the coming weeks.

We don't have to go far to start doubting the recently extracted data. Last week, we told you that a leaked image of Fortnite had raised suspicions about a possible RPG mode for season 8.

Undoubtedly, this new season will serve to verify whether the Epic Games trolling strategy takes effect or data is still being compromised ahead of time.
