Flee the Facility is a popular escape game created by the group known as AW Apps. The typical game involves up to four players facing a single enemy known as the Beast, whom they must avoid while completing objectives to win the game.

Reviews and reception

Flee the Facility has received positive reviews and is a highly played game. However, the criticisms are directed at the main problems of the game that players complain about. One of them is the duration of a single round, as the spectators who have just appeared generally have to wait 10-15 minutes before the round ends. This means that 4 complete rounds of play take about an hour.

The map 'Facility_0' has received negative comments from some players, as the map has a poor design and is usually also the most voted map, neglecting the other maps. In general, the number of maps available is also subject to complaints, as it means that the game becomes stale very quickly without a greater variety of maps to play. Since then, the Homestead and Airport maps have been added, providing more variety of maps to play with, with more maps coming soon.

Players have also criticized the beast camping. It has been partially fixed by preventing the loss of health if the beast is within a certain radius of a captured player, however this radius is quite small, which means that the beast can still roam close to whatever it wants. The Homestead map has also received negative comments (or constructive criticism to say) about being the beast on this map. Players were complaining that the beast cannot use its corridor very wisely, as there are many downed bushes and trees that survivors can easily maneuver, while the beast slows down by jumping over them. This could be one reason why players choose other maps instead of this one to save themselves from being the beast.
