    Your favorite emotes, music packs, and loading screens are now available in Save the World. Go check them out at the box office! 

    GENERAL

    • The first part of the box office comes to Save the World. Now you can use your gestures, music packs and loading screens.
      • Right now, the box office is shared between Save the World and Battle Royale, so if you change it in either mode, the changes will apply to both.
      • For now, only gestures, music packs, and loading screens are available in Save the World. We have future plans to include more types of cosmetic items. You can read more information about it here.

    • Fixed a bug with the Astrobate 9000 that caused it to constantly play a hum if the projectile exploded during creation (such as if it appeared inside a wall).

    Playability

    Error correction

    • Fixed a bug where the banner gadget would permanently dye structures blue.
    • The teleporter can no longer be placed inside small objects.
    • Players will no longer get caught up in delivering supplies.
    • The current weapon will now be correctly selected after using an ability while jumping off the map.

    ART AND ANIMATIONS

    Error correction

    • Now the lighting when opening the armory, using the command tab in the locker and the shop tab with shadows will be displayed correctly.
    • Fixed lighting when switching from locker to armory with shadows disabled.
    • Fixed a bug that prevented emotes from being canceled when moving.
    GENERAL

    IU

    • The matchmaking regions of all players have been set to automatic mode. You can change the preferences in the options menu.
    • We have moved the FPS indicator to the lower left corner of the room.

    Error correction

    • Hover over descriptions will no longer prevent clicking the settings menu.

    SOCIAL

    • We discovered that the push-to-talk option was unintentionally turned on for new console players. From now on it will be disabled, and we are going to reset the push-to-talk settings for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch users. This is a rare restart and any changes made to the settings thereafter will be saved as normal.
      • Players who have changed their push-to-talk settings manually in the past will find that the option is now disabled, but will be able to re-enable it without issue.
    • The recent player list has been reset for all platforms. Players in your Battle Royale squad and your Save the World team will be added to this list automatically during the game.  
      • Players will disappear from the list automatically when the game is closed.

    Error correction

    • Fixed a bug that prevented friend invitations from disappearing correctly.

    PERFORMANCE

    • A new network broadcasting system has been enabled for Xbox One, Switch and PC that will improve memory usage and results when broadcasting. 
      • We will apply this new system to other platforms in the future.
    • UI performance has been optimized to improve frames per second in game.
    • With Season X, the PC version of Fortnite will require a graphics card that can run DirectX 11 in order to launch the game, as we mentioned in our blog post.
    • Ray traced long distance shadows have been reimplemented for Switch. 
      • This item improves processing speed and increases the range of shadows.
    • Multi-process particle simulation has been enabled for Switch. 
      • This will improve the stability of the frames per second, especially during free falls.
    • GPU occlusion queries have been optimized for Xbox One. 
      • This will greatly improve dynamic resolution and performance.

    Mobile

    • The scaling settings for iPhone 8 have been updated to be in line with those of other similar devices. This will improve performance and overall stability.
