    One more week, Epic Games does not forget to update Fortnite. After the 7.20 update two weeks ago, and the content update last Tuesday, it's time to see what's new in update 7.30 to Fortnite

    Epic is getting us used to updates that not only add content, but also modify important aspects of the game both in Battle Royale mode and in the other modes (Creative Mode and Save the World), and this week will not be less.

    Weapons and objects

    • Fresh pomegranate. The cool grenade will push players, so they will slide across the terrain. Allies, enemies, and vehicles hit by the Cool Grenade will slide on frozen feet or wheels for 7 seconds. Appears in stacks of 3 units. The maximum stack size is 6 units.
    • Cozy Campfire - Updated visuals. We've updated the cozy campfire visuals to more clearly indicate when the campfire is in use or when it's depleted.
    • To the camera: Bolt-action rifle, burst rifle, heavy shotgun, submachine gun
    • Camera return: Silenced submachine gun
    • Dual Pistols drop rate of ground loot reduced from 2,24% to 1,38%.

    Error correction



    • Balloons no longer collide with vehicles. This solves a bug that could cause vehicles to take damage when using balloons while inside one.

    Gameplay

    • The memory and network functions of apples and mushrooms have been optimized.
    • We have added unique vehicle-specific messages to the information when players are eliminated or enter the wounded state.
    • Edit Delay: Customer edit enhancements have been re-enabled. They were disabled during version 7.20 due to an input error they were causing.
    • Fixed an issue where Boogie Bombs would not affect players wearing the Stealthy Snowman when hitting their bare legs or feet.
    • Fixed an issue where the last stealth snowman charge would break right after use if another stealth snowman was present in a different inventory slot.
    • Fixed a bug that caused the hang glider to automatically deploy closer to the ground than normal while waiting when holding the hang glider redeployment item from the bus.
    • Fixed an issue where the X-4 Stormwing health bar would sometimes not display.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause players to get stuck on a stealthy snowman if it landed near them.
    • The amount of materials obtained from chests and floor loot has been increased from 20 to 30.
    • Increased the number of materials received from Supply Drops from 40 to 60.

    Error correction


    • Aim Assist now targets vehicle-mounted enemies instead of vehicle bases.
    • Quickly switching to traps then commander weapons no longer causes players to fire or brandish pickaxes.
    • Supply Drop Balloons now take damage from the environment, such as explosive damage or biplane weapon damage.
    • Fixed instances where a building piece could be placed for free but not built.
    • Fixed an issue where player cameras were deformed when another player was using a zip line.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause acceleration visuals to appear when using a vehicle near a zip line.
    • Players can now progress properly and complete the Week 4 Challenge "Use an X-4 Stormwing plane in separate matches."
    • Screens no longer shake uncontrollably after walking on icy surfaces.
    • Players will no longer lose the ability to tap the X-4 Stormwing after hitting terrain or structures.

    Playground

    • The Guided Missile has been removed from Playgrounds.
    • The Spiny Stadium Supply Drop has been removed. This will eliminate the chance of getting the Spiny Stadium and Impulse Grenades. This was done due to a bug that sent players back to the room.

    Events

    • A new tournament has been added: Architect Limited Cup (Solo, Duo, and Squads). Settings from previous limited cups still apply to this tournament. In this mode, players can now edit structures built by other players, regardless of equipment.
    • Tournaments can now include markers for each session of the event, highlighting the best participants.
    • Now, to participate in tournaments, you need an account level of 10 minimum.

    Performance

    Error correction

    • We have smoothed out frequency drops that could occur with large changes in view direction and in rendered character counts.

    Sound

    • Mecha sounds have been added to the grenade.

    Error correction

    • Fixed an issue where gesture music would overlap with room music depending on how the volume sliders were set.

    User interface

    • Show the group's total kills on the HUD if your team wins.
    • Additional models have been added to the "Switch Models" list when viewing the wraps in the Battle Pass or in the Shop.
    • Group colors have been restored to blue, red, purple, and yellow. The reason is to be able to distinguish the players in MTL as Food Fight. There are new icons for non-squad teammates and rival icons on the minimap.
    • Rotating the camera on the Battle Bus will no longer produce a rocking effect, similar to swimming, on the minimap.
    • Fixed a bug in the Network Debug UI that showed a ping value that was too high.

    Error correction

    • Fixed an issue where weapons were not equiped when double-clicking the inventory after changing their hotbar slots.
    • Fixed an issue where teammate scores would not be displayed.
    • Fixed a bug that displayed incorrect information about the kill count in Large Team modes.
    • Fixed how to sort players within the UI to report players.
    • Fixed an issue where parts of the marker UI would sometimes flash repeatedly.
    • Fixed an issue where the Spectator button in the Report Players menu would only select the first player observed.
    • Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the queue selection screen to show an incorrect selection after leaving a party.
    • Fixed a display bug in the item pickup action that would sometimes occur after opening an ammo box.
    • Fixed the room preview duration for the Enthusiast, Runner, Dance Therapy, and Hot Marat emotes.

    Art and animations

    • Celebrate Super Bowl LIII with the new Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots uniforms that have been added to the Fourth Down outfit suite. Take the leap and represent your favorite team! All players who previously purchased the Fourth Down set will receive these variants.

    Error correction

    • Fixed a bug that caused weapon animations to play twice for every shot fired in replays.
    • Fixed a bug that could cause camera or lens settings to show incorrect initial values.
    • Fixed a bug where trying to play an outdated replay would select a different one.
    • Fixed a bug that caused the players' model to shake when using zip lines in replays.
    • Fixed a bug that prevented stereo music from playing when viewing replays.

    Social

    The transmission mode setting has been replaced by two different settings:

    • Anonymous mode. This option will show your name as "Anonymous" to all players who are not in your squad. Your account information will continue to appear in reports submitted by other players using the Report Players functionality.
    • Hide the name of other players. This option will show the name of the rest of the players as "Player" unless they are in your squad.
    • Neither of these settings will work when playing tournament games.

    Error correction

    • Party invite notifications will now appear on the game mode selection screen. By accepting the invitation through the notification you will be redirected to the correct game mode and join the group.
    • Fixed a bug that could cause some party members to fail to match with a "Version mismatch" error if a party member joined, indicating that everything was ready and matchmaking started in quick succession.

    Mobile

    Compatibility with mobile controls:

    • Android: most Bluetooth controller adapters, such as Steelseries Stratus XL, Gamevice, XBox1, Razer Raiju, and Moto Gamepad.
    • iOS: MFi controllers, such as Steelseries Nimbus and Gamevice.
    • Phone vibration is disabled if a controller is connected.

    Game at 60Hz on select Android models:

    • We're rolling out 60Hz support (which can be enabled through settings) on select Android devices. We have worked with our partners on various optimizations and we are launching this option initially on the following specific models.

    Error correction

    • Fixed a bug where players were unable to build various types of structures while holding the build button and changing building types.
    • Fixed an issue where the Harvest Tool button would not reselect the previous tool.
    • Fixed a bug that could cause pressing the button multiple times simultaneously on mobile to disable the fire button.
    • Fixed a bug that prevented the lock icon from appearing on the directional pad when setting Auto Run on mobile.
    • Fixed several buttons in the UI that had a lower resolution than the rest.

    Creative mode with update 7.30

    Creative Mode is once again updated with new content. A few days ago we told you that you could already visit the Stark Tower in the game, and now we will have some more tools to unleash our imagination.

    Islands

    • An option has been added to grant edit permissions individually to players on your island.

    Gameplay

    • New option to control respawn time. Range from 1 to 30 seconds.
    • New option added to end games. The first team to achieve a specified amount of eliminations wins. Range 1 to 10 or off.
    • New option added: "After last respawn go to team". After running out of lives in a match, you can now become spectators or move to a different team depending on the game settings. The range includes "Spectator" and "Team 1 - 16".
    • The game statistics screen that appears after Creative mode matches now contains buttons that allow you to immediately restart the game and restore the island.
    • The speed at which the island charges after restarting has been increased.
    • Renamed "Game Modes" to "Preset Scoring" to better clarify what the option does.
    • Now, when joining a game in progress, players will go into observer mode until the game ends.

    • Fixed a server crash that could cause unexpected shutdowns when removing a prefab.
    • Fixed a crash caused by a lack of server memory.
    • Fixed a bug that caused Storm damage to not be applied if the health mutator had been set invincible.

    • A position indicator has been added when holding copies of prefabs or items in the air, to better predict where they will be placed.

    Error correction

    • Fixed instances where players had creative permissions on islands that they did not own or where they had not received such permissions.
    • Fixed a bug that caused sections of a precast to disappear and reappear when copying with the Phone tool.
    • Fixed an issue where the Phone tool would sometimes disappear after finishing a game on a Creative Island.

    Prefabricated

    • Added 6 Arctic Base Prefabs.
    • Arctic base galleries have been added.
    • A new gallery of piano keys has been added.
    • A gallery of music blocks has been added.
    • A mood gallery has been added, offering 8 color variations for torches, glow sticks, and spotlights.
    • A gallery of challenges has been added, which are new items that disappear when the player goes through them. There will be more functionality in future updates.
    • Random Chest Galleries and Ammo Crates have been added. The spawn rate is based on the latest Battle Royale loot frequencies.
    • The windmill has been added to the Farm Gallery.
    • An additional winter village color building gallery has been added.
    • A gallery of challenges has been added, which are new items that disappear when the player goes through them. There will be more functionality in future updates.
    • Torches now shed light when shadow casting is disabled.

    Devices

    • The new Starting Inventory device has been added. It allows you to choose which items players start in inventory with during games.
    • The new barrier zone has been added. It is an area that you can place and that generates collision barriers that prevent players from crossing them.
    • The new motion modulator has been added. It allows you to change the speed of a player or vehicle. The speed options are Super Slow, Very Slow, Slow, Normal, Fast, Very Fast, and Super Fast. You can select the duration in seconds: 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, 60, 120.
    • The visual effect of item spawners will turn off when you finish spawning all your items in a game to indicate that you are idle.
    • Weapons that have been collected from an item generator during a game will now come with more ammo.

    Error correction

    • Fixed a bug that caused item spawners to stop spawning new items if the spawned item was combined with an item of the same type picked up nearby.
    • Removed extraneous stats from vehicle spawn devices.
    • Sentinels will not reload infinitely when out of range.
    • Duplicate Sentinel removed from Traps.
    • Fixed Christmas tree appearing on prefabs and shrinking when picked up on the phone.
    • Fixed an issue where Ice Cliffs would lose collision ability when caught with the phone.
    • Fixed a bug with the Elimination Zone that prevented the visual effects from rotating with the trap.
    • Fixed a bug that caused the Elimination Zone to display the wrong mesh when placed.
    • Fixed a bug that caused the Elimination Zone visuals to not display correctly when changing the boundary.
    • Fixed a bug with the Elimination Zone that sometimes caused the bounding settings to revert to the default settings.
    • Fixed a bug that prevented players from sticking the Elimination Zone to walls.
    • Fixed an issue where the Elimination Zone would not affect players with invisibility settings.
    • Fixed an issue where the Elimination Zone would not affect downed players.
    • Fixed a bug that prevented traps from being destroyed after collecting the soil under them.
    • Fixed a bug that caused the Ice Block Trap effects to trigger before players stepped on the tile.
    • Fixed a bug that caused adjacent Sentinels to be destroyed when damaging one with a Sniper Rifle in Creative mode.
    • Fixed an issue where the Lantern from the Lucky Landing Gallery would snap across the map when trying to paste it onto a Creative Island.

    • Fixed an issue where teammates were unable to correct elimination counts while playing in Large Team modes, the Playground, and Creative mode.
    • Fixed a crash related to player suggestions.
    • Fixed a potential additional data loss that could cause a gift to be received while viewing the Add Friends screen.

    Performance

    • Performance when using the phone has been optimized.
    • Fixed a bug that caused players to encounter low frequency and instability when placing many torches from the Castle Prefab in a small area.

    What's New in Save the World Fortnite v7.30

    Missions and systems

    • Fifth Weekly Frostnite Challenge: Unexplored Territory. There are no maps or minimaps. Survive for 30 minutes to claim the Spectral Blade. Survive for 30 minutes (three times) to claim the Week 5 Challenge Banner. Available January 31 at 01:00 CET.
    • Caches have been removed from chests in Frostnite.

    Error correction

    • The frequency of quest items in the Canny Valley quest "Ray on the Rooftop" has been increased.
    • Now the "line" and "Another, another!" they also appear in the highest difficulty scenarios.

    User interface

    • X-ray flames have arrived! All the contents and upgrades of the flames will be displayed in the X-ray tab of the store without having to buy them. X-ray flames can only be purchased one at a time. The contents of the X-ray flames will reset when the store is updated each day.

    • The menu will no longer open when switching to the team chat channel when selecting a message from the team chat radio.
    • Fixed a bug that allowed players to build through the Deliver the Bomb launcher.
    • Fixed a bug in the Deliver the Bomb mission that allowed enemies to walk through the Warehouse and Launcher.
    • Fixed an issue with initial selection when entering the Perk Recombobulator using the keyboard and mouse.

    • Fixed a hitch when navigating between mission map nodes on the mission selection map.

    Heroes

    • Many ancient event heroes have been added to the collection book.
      • This update includes heroes that were previously only available in the event store and some quest heroes.
      • Heroes from the Event and Mission Store can be assigned, but cannot be recycled. These heroes will not consume any space in the account inventory.

    Error correction

    • Characters should now play the correct fear shrink animations when taking damage from the wild rift.
    • Fixed a bug that caused the Ice King to display the wrong pose in the room.
    • Fixed an incorrect tooltip with Lynx Kassandra. It should now be properly classified in the Swiftfoot subclass and have updated descriptions.
    • Fixed a bug that caused Lynx Kassandra to play the wrong idle animation in the main menu.
    • Fixed a bug that was granting players a 30% construction reduction instead of 20% with the Planning and Creative Engineering perks.

    Weapons and objects

    • Batch manufacturing has been added.
    • The grenade and rocket launchers have been added to the list of possible results for the Ranged Weapon Transform Key and the Weapon Transform Key. Includes hydraulic and scrap versions.
    • The Gibberish Launcher has been added to the Weekly Store. Fire cannonballs that explode and separate into three smaller cannonballs that also explode. Available from January 31 at 01:00 CET to February 6 at 01:00 CET.
    • The Spectral Blade Sword will be available as a reward for the Frostnite Weekly Challenge. Deals consistently high damage with moderate impact. Spectral Slash: Dash to the enemy target and deal high area damage with a Spectral Slash, which can throw small enemies off balance.
    • The jump attack can now be used in midair and correctly interrupts basic attacks when used.

    Error correction

    • Fixed a bug where remote explosives that lacked ammo could not be dropped.
    • Items removed from the collection book will now award ADVANTAGE and ADVANTAGE when recycled or reset.
    • You will only receive ADVANTAGE and ADVANTAGE of perks that are available / visible on the item when recycling or resetting the common / uncommon / rare schematics.
    • Hit markers should now no longer appear when shooting anything that can't be damaged.
    • The Cozy Campfire Trap will now heal multiple players at the same time.
    • Level 1 Dragon Vigor Shotgun now fires the correct projectiles.

    Gameplay

    • All characters now receive a message when a Storm Chest has been discovered.
    • Lightning strikes will now deal damage to objects they hit instead of destroying them.
    • Patrol Sentries now protect against lightning strikes.

    Error correction

    • The Storm Shield now has the same transparency across all Save the World game modes.
    • Traps placed on the Storm Shield now correctly store their lifespan when or when the storm strikes again.
    • The camera has been prevented from going below the surface of the water when looking down.
    • When fighting the Storm King with a controller, aim assist will focus on weak spots, if possible.

    Art and animations

    • The visual effects for the Dragon's Tail perk have been updated for the ADE energy trail that remains in the world.

    • UI map sounds have been updated. Now the storm and the lightning have sound. More ambient sounds have been added to the Commando, Heroes, and Armory tabs.

    Error correction

    • Music no longer restarts when switching tabs in the store.
    • Fixed a bug with sound effects that caused Lars's van transformation to ring twice.
    • Fixed a sound that would temporarily cut out after switching to cutscenes.
