Preliminary information
Before starting, you need to know that there are actually three names in your PSN Account: the Your name,Online ID and Real name. All you have to do is find the name you want to change and follow my instructions.
Il Your name it is part of your basic account information and is used by Sony Entertainment Network in email communications. This name is never shared with other players on PlayStation Network and actually consists of two fields: Your name e Last name.
Il Real name, which is also part of the PSN profile information. It actually consists of 3 fields: Your name, Second name e Last name. Real name is publicly displayed on PlayStation Network. Change Name on PS4
Il Name change on PS4 it is a very simple operation to perform. First, go from your browser to the page dedicated to the PlayStation Network and click on the button Log in, top right. After entering your Login ID (your email address) and yours Password, confirm by clicking on the button again Log in, which this time is at the bottom on a blue background. Now that you have successfully logged into your account, click on the box at the top right, which shows your profile picture or avatar, then select the item Account settings.
Now you are on the page dedicated to Basic information about your account: the first field you find in the information list is the one relating to Your name. To change the Your name, press the button Modification to the right of your current name. Once you have clicked the "Edit" button, a small window will open in the foreground showing the two fields, Your name e Last name. Then enter your details, bearing in mind that you will not be able to use spaces or symbols and that this change will affect all services of Sony and its partners linked to your account. To confirm, press the key Save, then select OK.

Change Real Name on PS4
If you want to change the real name associated with your PSN account, you can act directly from PS4, from a computer or from a smartphone and tablet: everything is explained below.
Yes PS4
To change the real name associated with your PSN account directly from the PS4, turn on the console, select yours user profile and go to the menu Settingsby selecting the icon carrying case located at the top right (you have to press su to display it in the PlayStation main menu).
Now, go on Account management, then up account information, Profile e Your name. Then type Your name, Second name e Last name you want to use for your account, press the button Confirmation (bottom right) and that's it.
From computer
If you prefer to act as a PC, first go to the page dedicated to the PlayStation Network and click on the button Log in, which you find at the top right. Then enter your login credentials (email address e Password) and select Log in I will continue.
Always at the top right, you will find a box that shows your profile photo or your avatar: click on it, then press on Account settings. This will take you to the page that contains basic information about your account: from here, move the mouse cursor to the left sidebar and click on PSN profile, which you find under the heading PlayStation Network.
At this point, in the items presented to you, you will find, in second place, the field Real name. To edit your Real name, click here Modification, which is to the right of the current name. Now a new window will open in which you can fill in the fields Your name, Second name e Last name, using letters, spaces, hyphens and apostrophes. Once your edit is complete, press Save to finish, then OK to confirm.
From now on, the new name you entered will be publicly displayed on PlayStation Network. If you want to change the options for who can see yours Real name, go back to the left sidebar and click on PSN privacy settings, then select the tab Personal Information | Messaging.
Pray click on your button Modification located to the right of the fields Real name in the search, Real name in the friends list e Real name in games, to select who can have access to the respective information, and that's it.

From smartphones and tablets
Do you currently have neither your PS4 nor a computer close at hand? No problem: you can also change your real name on PSN using the PlayStation App official for Android and iOS.
Once you have started the app in question and logged into your PSN account, go to your profile page by pressing the icon of thelittle man located at the bottom right, then press the button Edit profile and select the item Additional profile settings.
At this point, log back into your PSN account, press the button Modification at yours real name and fill out the form that is proposed to you with name, second name e last name. Then press the button Save (bottom right) and the changes will be saved instantly.
Change your online ID on PS4
If your intent is change ID online on PS4, know that from April 2022 this operation is feasible, both from the console and from the PSN website, however it brings with it several contraindications.
Given that online ID change is only officially supported by titles published since April 2022 (others may have various problems following the ID change), the operation could result in the loss of content purchased for the games (including virtual currencies) and the loss of the progress of the games (including trophies ). Furthermore, it must be said that the first change of ID is free, while the others cost 9,99 euros each.

Once you have found an ID that is not yet in use by other users, click on the button Confirmation and choose whether to continue showing your old name in brackets within the PSN or whether to show it to others only the new online ID. Come on then confirmation And that's it.

From Computer
If you prefer to act as a computer, you can change your ID online via the official PlayStation site. To proceed, then connected to the site in question, click on the button for log in located at the top right and log in with your PSN account.
