    Magic

Magic (ま ほ う Mahou?) Is one of the skill types that appears throughout the Kingdom Hearts saga.

Magic can be offensive or supportive, and it differs from weapon skills in that its use is generally limited by some factor, such as the player's current MP, and that its potency is determined by Magic Stats (maximum MP in Kingdom Hearts). In Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, offensive magic is the only way to deal elemental damage. Additionally, many types of magic inflict status effects on enemies.

Characters who specialize in magic include Donald, Jack Skeleton, or Zexion.

Magical Power is associated with wisdom, as indicated by the Dream Staff and Magic Wand descriptions, as well as the Wise Form. It is also associated with the color blue, the color of the PM indicators that appear in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, the color of Magic Cards in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and the color of the Wise Form orb. In the menus, magic is represented by a symbol of Donald's Wizard Hat.

In Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, the choice of the Dream Staff in the Descent to the Heart, grants greater ability to level up easier and faster to the different spells. Spells focused on game styles are considered among the most difficult to use, due in large part to the care that must be taken into account with elemental effects, since some enemies will not be harmed by these, and can even be healed by certain spells based on elements of nature (ex: Pyro = Fire), as well as the indicator or the MP bar (magic points), whose amount is finite, and when used all the time, this amount is reduced until it is exhausted, and not being able to use any more magic, but with the help of restorative elements and abilities such as MP Haste and Aspire Damage, it was possible to continue using Magic more quickly.

    Summary

    Easier

    Magic

Many people in the Kingdom Hearts Universe are capable of using magic. All Keyblade Bearers are also capable of learning magic, and this is capable of great feats, for example being able to close a Lock on a World, open doors, and be transformed into different forms. There are also those people who specialize in the use of magic, such as Donald, Merlin and Yen Sid. Those who are experts in magic, can use it in a wide variety of uses of it outside of combat, such as transformations, transport between the worlds, kingdoms, or even periods of time, or also perform incantations or curses against other people.

    Kingdom Hearts

    Magic

In this game there are seven types of elemental magic that are available throughout the game, which are updated or their effects will increase by passing parts of it, up to a maximum of three levels. These spells are accessible from the command menu in "Magic", and only three of them can be set in the shortcuts, to facilitate access to them during battle.

The use of Magic consists of MP (magic points), and can be recovered by collecting magic orbs, attacks on enemies, the use of restoration items (Ether or Elixir), or by contact with a save point. Some team members can restore MP using special abilities. The length of the MP meter determines whether spells are effective, and as base magic is upgraded to higher levels, this meter will be even larger.

In Kingdom Hearts, "Summon" is classified as magic.

    Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Main Articles: Magic Cards and Magic Tricks Magic Cards represent the types of magic that appeared in Kingdom Hearts. They are blue in color, just like Summoning Cards. Through the use of Cheats, higher-level spells can be used in battle, just like Advanced Spells, such as Tornado and Megafulgor.

    Kingdom Hearts II

    Magic

There are six types of Basic Magic in Kingdom Hearts II, which are updated when reaching certain points in the story, and can reach up to a maximum of three levels. Spells are accessible from the command menu under "Magic", and four of them can be set as shortcuts for easy access during battle.

The use of Magic consists of MPs (magic points), and they can be recovered by collecting magic orbs, using restoration items (such as an Aether), entering a Fusion Form, or by contacting a save point. If the PM gauge is completely empty, PM Charge will begin, during which the gauge is replaced with a pink charge gauge. As the charge gauge gradually empties, magic cannot be used, but portions of the gauge can be drained immediately thanks to MP recovery.

The Wise Form, the Master Form, and the Final Form have abilities that enhance the effect of magic, while the Courageous Form and the Sum form are disabled from using magic.

    Kingdom Hearts 358 / 2 Days

Main Items: Command Panel and Magic Panels In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, magic can be used during missions when magic panels are installed in the Command Panel. The number of spells available for a base magic type is determined by the number of panels installed for that type, but spells can be restored mid-mission by using items such as ethers. Linking the basic magic panels with the special magic panels increases the level or award of various models of that magic.

There are five varieties of magic in this game, each with three levels, however, unlike other games, the different levels of one type of magic will have different effects and characteristics. For example, Piro launches a fireball that chases the enemy, while Piro + shoots a penetrating fireball that goes in a straight line, and Piro ++ launches a large fireball with slight self-targeting capabilities in the air, to then explode.

    Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

Magic Commands can be dropped by enemies, bought in stores, found inside small chests, or obtained from various minigames, such as the Command Board.

    Kingdom Hearts Re:coded

They can be found in Rare Prize Boxes, by purchasing them from Moguri Stores, or by earning high ranks in battles.

    Origin and Definition

Many of the magics that appear in the Kingdom Hearts saga are largely inspired by the magic of Final Fantasy. This includes elemental types, as well as specific spells, such as Pyro, Heal, and Reflection. However, the distinction between Black Magic, or offensive, and White, or support magic, is not carried over to Kingdom Hearts.

Also borrowed from Final Fantasy is the naming convention for basic magic. In most installments of Final Fantasy, the highest levels of magic are indicated by the suffix + and ++, which normally correspond to the second and third levels of a spell, respectively. This convention is followed in Kingdom Hearts, with one notable exception: while the fourth level of magic in Final Fantasy, when included, is -ja, Kingdom Hearts uses the suffix +++, referred to as -za in the release of English for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Some accessories are the name of the fourth level of magic, with the suffix +++ (-gun), (for example, Bracer Pyro ++), as well as two Reaction Commandos, Weapon Pyro and Weapon Ice (Firagun and Blizzagun) .

Certain abilities can improve or facilitate the use of magic, generally increasing magic damage, elemental damage or MP recovery, these are:

Some members of the group have abilities that mimic the effects of spells which are:

    • Burning Fury (Jack Skeleton)
    • Frozen Terror (Jack Skeleton)
    • Rays of Pain (Jack Skeleton)
    • Ghostly Scream (Jack Skeleton)
    • Healing Herb (Simba)
    • Electro Potion (Ariel)
    • Healing Potion (Ariel)
    • Aero Potion (Ariel)
    • Razia Tenebrosa (Riku)
    • Dark Shield (Riku)

There are also several abilities called "Limits", which can be used alongside party members, but which drain all of Sora's MP at the end of their effect. Also the word Limit refers to the more advanced attacks of the characters of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.

    Curiosities

    • The potions that Ariel uses have the effect of magic but increased to a higher level, which suggests that magic can be stored in containers to be used by any individual.
    • Jack Skeleton's Skills are a customized version of common magics, adding a darker look to them, and using them as physical power-ups.
    • Suffixes on y -ga they only apply to second and third level spells in the English, Japanese, Italian, and German versions of the Kingdom Hearts games. In the French versions, second-level spells are marked with a "+", and the third level of spells are marked with a"X". The suffix -gun, used in the names of various accessories, is often marked with a "XX". In the Spanish version of the Kingdom Hearts games, the third level of the spells are marked."++", and the suffix -gun it has often been translated as "+ + +"in accessories such as the Piro Armrest +++. Two Reaction Commandos, Firagun and Blizzagun, were translated as Piro Weapon and Ice Weapon, since" gun "is a weapon in English.
